    NFL All-Pro Football 2K10

    The roster file: ESPNNFL2K5_NFLAPF2K10.zip

    - Rosters have all time great players for each franchise.
    - Credit to WARPATHEB for the GOAT file which I used as a starting point.
    - Approximately 20% new players added.
    - All players re-rated, with integrity of overall player rating kept in tact.
    - Player's overall rating based on stature within history of pro football.
    - Majority of players given their unique abilities and attributes.
    - Players put at positions played in real life, with a few exceptions.
    - Depth charts rearranged based on new changes.
    - Coaches and play calling tendencies added.
    - Playbooks changed to match personnel.

    The franchise mode file: ESPNNFL2K5_APF2K10sea.zip.

    - Play through a season with all time great players.
    - Schedule for initial season is balanced for each team.
    - Coach's game plans created for each team.
    - Set to user control for all 32 teams.

Thanks again to WARPATHEB... Also, thanks to FlyingFinn for the editor, and thanks to all the people who give tips for editing this game to make it play as well as possible.

From what I remember from Puja, the freezing can be caused by the clearing of stats. I don't remember why though.

I tested out a franchise after I cleared the stats and everything worked just fine, so I don't think that's it.

I also just noticed that there may be something wrong with the roster file... Because when I look at it in the editor, and try to change a name (either first or last) and scroll down to the letter "O" there are about 15 slots where it says:

      O=[OO,O,O]

Some of them are longer than that, with more O's in the brackets.

Kind of a bummer... I was looking forward to playing through a season.

I'm going to try a few things, like:

-Try starting a franchise a couple of different ways to see if that makes a difference.

      - Maybe try using the team export feature in the editor, and them import every team into the default roster file... Not sure if this will do anything, and I've never used the team export function.

If anyone has any ideas, please do share.

        Sweet! This worked!

The file no longer had the 15 rows of:

        O=[O,OO] (etc.)

        Under the letter "O".

I easily simmed through the first week of a franchise... Watched Sportscenter... Saw Franco Harris run for a TD, Montana to Rice for a TD, and Terrell Davis bolt for an 82 yard touchdown...

So... I gotta do some things... Update playbooks, change the coach's playcalling... Set up franchise with the balanced schedule...

And of course make sure it all works...

I'll post the new files when I'm done.

Re: NFL All-Pro Football 2K10 (Xbox)

Funny- that was the next thing I was going to suggest, only I was going to tell you to use Dan's latest file, because he uses no shared name slots and you wouldn't run the risk of over writing someone. Anyway, glad it worked out. When you get them done, I'll put them up on the site. It's about time to make some updates there.

Re: NFL All-Pro Football 2K10 (Xbox)

The clearing of stats doesnt freeze the game for the first season or the off-season but when you start the 2005 pre-season, the simulating is SLOW and takes forever. This is because of the clearing of career stats. However, I have noticed that the simulating goes faster for the first season.

It's all weird to say the least.

            ---

Yeah, I dont want any player to be linked to another. It can cause too many problems. its anothe reason why I do every year from scratch in order to minimize overwriting the players from 2004 into the players for our present time.

The file has been updated, and it now works in franchise mode.

Re: NFL All-Pro Football 2K10 (Xbox)

Shared name slots: The game will occasionally assign the same name for more than one person. It allows fewer slots to be used in a finite number of slots in the save. It is possible to assign everyone their own name slot, but it is apparently also possible to run out of characters. In the editor, shared names show up in red.

If you rename a red colored name and save it, you will also change everyone else's name associated with that slot.

For example, if there is a red name of "John" used for John Doe, John Spikes and John Flagen and you change it to Paul, you'll end up with Paul Doe, Paul Spikes and Paul Flagen.

                    Hope that helps a little.

At this moment it's just the roster file. I'm working on a franchise file right now.

For sliders I recommend boosting all the computer offense ones all the way up, and all the human defense ones all the way down... And put INTs at zero. Penalties also need to be raised...

All lot of this stuff is personal preference and ability level, so you'll probably have to find your own settings.

                          Sort of...

Players were rated 1-5 stars, with 5 equaling a mid to upper 90s overall rating... And 1 being in the 60s...

And players were given abilities true to life... Based on the information I could find...

So it's kind of like All-Pro Football with the license for all the players and NFL teams, etc... And built using 2K5.

                              That would be cool.

In case you were wondering, the files are now complete... And everything seems to be in working order. I've done a bit of testing and it all seems to be running smoothly now, for both files.
