PS2 MAX DRIVE TRANSFER HELP

hey can u guys help me out. I bought this max drive and i went ton the website and downloaded convinces roster. I put it on my max drive but i didnt unzip the files cause i dont know how (says on site u need to unzip them to unrar the file). When I put the max drive in the ps2 along with the disk (Action Replay Disk), i click on option max memory, but I do not see the files under the max drive. wtf. some1 please give me step by step instructions on how to fix this.
