just saw this thread now for the first time and i think this is an awesome idea if you go with classic rosters that recreate a particular individual season. i think that college football was loaded in the early 90's so i think 30 or so teams from 90 or 91 would work if youre into that. ohio state - 49ers 60's throwbacks. iowa - steelers 80's throwbacks.

I like the idea of Tebow, Emmit Smith, Kearse, Harvin... sounds good..

packers 2003 alt version 3 i think it was is perfect for notre dame. plain gold helmet and pants, white jersey w green numbers
