I've been checking in on the ps3 thread and it sounds like some guys over there are starting to organize themselves and get something started which is your best shot for getting these rosters converted, you guys can do this its just a matter of getting yourselves organized and focused on the objective and that is to get this roster converted all the rest will come later just focus and you'll all be successful it might not be easy but it can be done.

Re: ESPN 2K12 Rosters by Rickster101

Ok back to the game play and then some, well right now I'm noticing something in the line play and its not a bad thing but there seems to be a lack of penalties call which to some might be a good thing but still I'm not seeing enough of them called.

All which leads me to think that those offensive/defensive linemen may be a little to composed.....tell me what you think.

Re: ESPN 2K12 Rosters by Rickster101

Was playing your roster yesterday and as I've said the gameplay is great. Couple of things I wanted to talk to you. You were saying some time ago that you had an idea about the RB rotation to be better. As it's right now, the running backs don't rotate and the same RB is kept on the field long time. Was just thinking, did you come up with some idea how to make them rotate RB position. I tried to change the fatigue attribute but it didn't do much help. Maybe it's because in 2004-05 there was only one RB in each team to carry the workload and not like these days when they use mostly two back system.

Other thing I noticed (as you did also) that linemen in D or offence don't get flaged during clear holding or clipping situations. I noticed this more in the offensive line. I use the penalty sliders way up because to get more simulation as there's many flags thrown in the real game also.

Great roster overall, haven't seen the sideline catch motion in some older rosters I've used, where the player tries to make a sideline catch with both feet inbounds.

Re: ESPN 2K12 Rosters by Rickster101

I have played several games with default slider options for pro difficulty and both my team and CPU will get called for holding and facemask and clipping penalties several times throughout a game. I agree maybe not as much as a real NFL game but I usually play on 3min quarters at pro difficulty and with default sliders. I also play a lot with the default rosters and rarely get any penalties so I figure these rosters are working good. Can't comment on the sideline pass animations. I usually don't throw many to the sidelines because the receiver will typically run out of bounds so I have rarely seen this animation.

You've made a good observation there bro, I went back to the default rosters and played then watched some CPU vs CPU games and guess what not one penalty called in most default roster games.

I haven't figured this out yet but with default rosters I'm just not seeing penalties called except for pass interference face mask calls and this tells me that rosters with edits be it mine or some others like Convince do have great game play that mimics penalties in the game.

Heck with edits in my rosters I've even seen roughing the passer called!

Still I intend on checking out the composure and aggressive attributes because its clear to me the lack of them not appearing frequent enough isn't due to the physical attributes.

They seem to be linked to something more intangible that can't be measured or accounted for and it is my belief that those could be items mentioned like their composure, consistency and aggression.

All in all everything with the rosters seem to be fine except the penalties for the offensive/defensive linemen.....guess I'll have to try a few things to see what triggers this is happen more frequently.

If you've any ideas I'd like to hear them just speak up and be heard.

About the RB rotations, turning their stamina down from 90 to a minimum of 40/50 and working it up should yield better rotation and lowering the fatigue setting should help also because the higher that slider the slower they fatigue the down side to that though is it effects all the players so you might not want to go over board with that one.

So what I did was just work on the RBs and observe them first to see what effect it had on them then work the slider if needed in to get a good rotation happening.

I went from a 20 fatigue to a 15 at 10 min quarters which is what I play on so your results may vary so you'll have to find your medium with what you use FT-Mac so let me know what happens.

Re: ESPN 2K12 Rosters by Rickster101

I usually just quick sub in the Backup rb using the menu options when picking a play. You dont really need it to auto sub in the backup rb. Just do it yourself. Also if you are playing with a team with 3 good rb's like the saints. Just sub in sproles for examples in some specific formations where you can use him when you want. Wish I could help on the intangible ratings like composure or aggresiveness. Haven't ever tinkered with this. I just enjoy the gameplay baby. Gimmie gimmie playas. Will try to mess with Curtis Painter's intangible ratings and will then comment on the results. Brotha is going to be doing some crazy a$$ ish lol.

Re: ESPN 2K12 Rosters by Rickster101

Well after going thru a few adjustments and testing different attributes I can't say I've found just what it is that isn't generating more penalties.

There doesn't seem to be any one particular attribute that makes them happen so its one of those things that isn't a game killer because they do occur just not as frequent as I'd like to see them and I can live with that better to have whats there then nothing at all.

If I come up with something guys I'll be sure to let you know but an odd thing if that is what it can be called is that when watched in the "GameCast Live" set at 15 min quarters the game moves along with everything you'd expect to see as if you're watching a live game which is a good thing because it just flows every so of fluidly almost flawless,so if it ain't broke no need to fix it.
