Nfl 2k5 historic team creating question

How do you create a historic team that isn't in the game? I know it's possible considering capa did it with the 93' oilers. Do you just use the Nfl 2k5 editor or what?

I know you can edit those in-game.
They save as a 'Team' type files.

I never tried to edit just a 'Team' file in Finn's editor. Give it a shot; or just use the in-game editor.

Clever, don't know why I didn't think of that. I would assume the editor would allow to edit a single team, considering you can open a roster from a replay. I think I'll try to get the closest teams to the super bowl like 99 rams and 71 cowboys, and make the super bowl teams that lost. Anyway thanks for the reply.

The editor has the option to change some of a team's info. The Oilers pbp (play by play name) is selectable within the editor so that's how Capa did his roster. If you select the oilers throwback jersey as the default for a team, it will also change the logo so you can get the complete Oilers package.

Changing cities or team names that aren't already in the game gets a little tricky since you have to hex edit them in.

Oh dear, definitely don't know how to hex the name unfortunately. I think I'll just do it in game. One thing I've noticed is if you have two of the same classic, it won't overwrite the other save. I'll probably just use the editor and one of capa's amazing files for a base file in the editor. Hope to have mostly all the missing teams from the super bowl era, but that process could take some time.
