Mass MAX to PSV conversion?

Hello all,

I recently picked up a physical copy of 2K5 for the PS2 and I was planning on running it on my PS3...until I saw how much of a pain in the arse it is to convert a MAX save file to PSV format so the PS3 can use it.

I've got rosters from 1974-2017 that I'd like to convert but I don't have the money for any adapters nor do I want to risk ruining my PS2 with whatever software the conversion takes [because I'm likely to screw it up anyway]. I know this is probably daunting and time-consuming, henceforth I'm not expecting these to be done all at once.

why go through all this trouble. NFL2k5 runs smooth on the ps2 emulator. I have updated rosters and I dont recall having to do any conversions. I just put the file in the correct folder.

Because some people, like myself, enjoy a more authentic experience on physical hardware than emulation. Don't get me wrong, the emulators are nice but I planned on running this game on my PS3 through 4:3 composite to my CRT TV the way it was meant to be. Trying to do the emulator to my Chromecast via desktop casting gives me a rather squished image.

All just a matter of personal preference.

Just curious, where did you get all these rosters? From nfl2k5rosters.com?

Some of them, and they were originally XBOX saves I converted to PS2 saves. Others were either from here or assembled using 2k5 editor controller and SeasonGen 3.0.
