How do i stop the franchise from freezing? I increased the salary cap and it didnt seem to help.

No idea, unfortunately. Most custom rosters seem to freeze in Franchise. It's been this way for several years.

I’ve found that the franchises freeze mostly when simulating preseason and entire weeks. I’ve had some success with taking control of each team in the league, starting each game, then selecting “Simulate to End” once the game loads. Then be sure to save frequently, and then just play the games you want. It takes some time, but it works fairly well.

If I created a new roster from scratch using the default roster as the base, would that fix the franchise freeze issues?

Spear, Browns fan here and you did a REALLY good job with our roster. Totally understand waiting until training camp cuts to add the later draft picks, and only found a couple errors but nothing egregious at all. Very much appreciated and looking forward to forward updates!

i think incomplete rosters causes freeze issues.
I do not think that you'd have to create an entire new roster.
just load the created roster and go to roster manager. I think the incomplete rosters- the player names will be gray. just fill out those rosters with created players or free agents.
I think this this may have something to do with the franchise freezes.

Hey everyone, I am new to all of this and am just looking for a roster that I can use for franchise mode. I am noticing people say there seems to be an issue with freezing during franchise with roster files, is there any work around on this?

Just asking before I go out and get an AR Max since I'll only be using this for franchise mode rather than exhibition games. Thanks to everyone for keeping this game alive! Any help is definitely appreciated.
