I think the Coverage is way too high bro, too many ints as a result. I'd drop the coverage to 0 and the pursuit to 7 maybe...try that & get back

Re: sliders with eq on

Other than picking off the CPU quarterback at will and sacking him at will, everything seemed to be working very well. I liked how the game played a lot looser such as kick off returns were longer and the running game featured bigger and better holes. Also, the kicking game is much more of a challenge with that particular slider down to 0. I really liked how the players' talents and skills really shined through as well. Only things I see that need to be fixed are the number of sacks on the CPU, number of interceptions on the CPU and the number of sacks on human. Those I believe can be fixed through the blocking and human coverage sliders.

The differences between the talent level of the players is a lot more noticeable through these sliders. With the sliders at the default setting, I could break through a hole with Marshall Faulk and be off to the races only to be caught from behind by a linebacker. With these sliders, that has not happened yet. Also with the default sliders, I have not once been able to run back a kickoff or punt return but I sure came close yesterday when I tried these sliders. Whoever is the one who came up with the idea, major props go out to you.

I'm having way more fun with this game now that it doesn't seem as robotic and mechanical. It really opens up the playing field. And the number of penalties being called make the game feel so much more realistic.

Re: sliders with eq on

Landon, do you control a D lineman on D??

I find the number of sacks to be just about perfect with these. I usually get sacked 3 to 6 times a game (realistic numbers) and usually put the opposing QB down a similar number of times.

As for the interception problem, there are player attribute edits that greatly reduce the problem. Move all the DB catch ratings to single digits and move the QB read coverage ratings way up and things are just about perfect. Only problem is, it's a lot of work, plus you have to edit the rookies too.

Re: sliders with eq on

Those are my sliders, featured on ESPN.
Anyway about my sliders.

First thing yall should know is that the SPEED cheat people complained about how the CPU could catch people from behind even if faster DEALS with the fatigue slider. This is something I did MANY MANY MANY test on and tweeked it down till the numbers you see now and now the CPU and HUMAN are on equal terms as far as speed.

Now on to sacks, I play with the Linebackers and normal have my computer controlled line get around 3-5 sacks a game. I also only get sacked around 3 times my self. NOW if you play a D-lineman you will have MUCH more sacks, if you choose to play as a D-lineman, use this technique to still deliver realism YET not cheesy the computer, DON'T use LINE charge moves!!!

NOW about the INTs, Throwing INTS should NOT be a problem since if YOU throw a INT it should be your fault. I noticed way way way to many people in this game are unafriad of the defense and if get pressured will just press any button to throw it down field and hope for a completion. NOT with these sliders, the defense WILL make you pay and now rolling out and throwing the ball way becomes VERY important if under heavy coverage and don't see a OPEN WR.

Now about the computer throwing INTS to much i have not seen that problem. I also use my player edits sooo that could very well be the reason. A simple adjustment would be to knock all the DBs catch rating into single digits and then you should be set for some VERY realistic results.

I also have returned my FIRST ever kick return for TD with my sliders and had a blocked extra point in the 4th quarter to win by one, was the most exciting game I ever played.

Any question guys feel free to ask I am now bouncing from ESPN forums to here on a nightly basis.

Later guys

Re: sliders with eq on

big fan of your sliders hotshot! great work!

one thing tho...i love how you have fixed the speed cheat but I think the fatigue slider for the computer is one of the most crucial sliders and i just hate having it low or lower than the human value. Are their any other human/cpu values that would eliminate the speed advantage but also give the cpu more fatigue?

i beleive with a higher fatigue the cpu passing game is like 110% better

thoughts?

Re: sliders with eq on

Well man the old fatigue sliders I tweeked to get the speed even as well is

Human fatigue - 32
Computer - 19

The speed cheat is still gone BUT you will have a hard time getting second string to play for you. That was the reason I tweeked it again at a lower level and that was when I came up with the 24/10 version. So either one is good, but I find the 24/10 better because your guys don't stay full stamina.

Later man
