2015 Rate My Team Thread
Since the last thread was so long, I decided to make a fresh one for easier access since there are so many moving parts.

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
12 Team Non PPR. I picked 2nd.
Amari Cooper Trooper
1. (2) Adrian Peterson (Min - RB)
2. (23) Peyton Manning (Den - QB)
3. (26) A.J. Green (Cin - WR)
4. (47) Carlos Hyde (SF - RB)
5. (50) Amari Cooper (Oak - WR)
6. (71) Ameer Abdullah (Det - RB)
7. (74) Vincent Jackson (TB - WR)
8. (95) Teddy Bridgewater (Min - QB)
9. (98) Kyle Rudolph (Min - TE)
10. (119) John Brown (Ari - WR)
11. (122) Darren Sproles (Phi - RB)
12. (143) Ryan Mathews (Phi - RB)
13. (146) Jordan Reed (Was - TE)
14. (167) New England (NE - DEF)
15. (170) Sebastian Janikowski (Oak - K)
I will add that Luck went 1st overall (Guy was a big Luck fan) so I essentially had my pick of the RB litter. And Luck, Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, and Roethlisberger all went before I took Manning. Quite the run on QB to say the least.Last edited by rangerrick012; 08-19-2015, 06:03 PM. -

Jordan Reed is a wasted spot at this point. Hopefully he's healthy all year (very unlikely) and makes drafting him worth it, but even if he is he's still 2nd TE for you. When you can, I'd drop him for someone with upside at WR or RB.Comment

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
Too early on Manning imo. I think another #1 WR in that spot would've made this an A+ draft... especially since you landed Bridgewater later. With that said, you've still got great potential at WR.

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
So I just completed a ten team live draft for a head to head league with the tenth overall pick. Right now my team stands like this.
QB: Russell Wilson
WR: Odell Beckham Jr
WR: Julio Jones
WR: Golden Tate
RB: Melvin Gordon
RB: CJ Spiller
TE: Jordan Cameron
K: Phil Dawson
DEF: Carolina
BENCH: LeGarrette Blount
BENCH: Ryan Tannehill
BENCH: Isaiah Crowell
BENCH: Devin Funchess
BENCH: Stevie Johnson
BENCH: Heath Miller
Overall I think I had a fairly decent draft. I feel I ended up getting decent depth both at RB and WR. Only question marks that come up for me is at the TE Position, DEF and if I wasted a pick on Devin Funchess even though he should get more touches because of how Kelvin Benjamin is out for the season.Comment

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
Compared to a walking injury at TE on a team who has a revolving door at QB, I'd scoop Spiller in a heartbeat. He is definitely a risk but his ceiling is very high.Comment

Based on your backs I'd guess you went to high on Wilson... but based on your total group of backs, I'd say you filled in your options nicely. I think Funchess is a great 4th/5th WR, especially if it's a PPR league. And Stevie Johnson should be a steal. If Jones and OBJ can stay healthy they'll carry your team. I think the TEs are better than you're giving them credit for too.Comment

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
14 team standard (6pt td passes, 2rb, 2wr, flex), picking 11th and 4th.
QB Tom Brady (7), Phil Rivers (8)
RB Demarco Murray (1), Carlos Hyde (3), LeGarrette Blount(6), Fred Jackson (13)
WR Julio Jones (2), DeAndre Hopkins(4), Keenan Allen(5), Victor Cruz (9), Kevin White (14)
TE Owen Daniels (10)
DST Houston (11)
K Gostkowski (12)
Feel pretty good. It was either Murray or McCoy, because I felt I HAD to get a RB right away. Jones and Green were the Best WR1s at 18, went Jones. I'm not extremely high on Hyde, but he was the best available. Very happy Hopkins fell so far. Everyone ignored Fred Jackson, hopefully that ends up a steal. Took a flyer on White, not much left at this point, might as well roll the dice and hope he plays week 8 and beyond.Last edited by CC; 08-21-2015, 02:02 PM.Comment

So the league I am in is a Head to Head League and it is not a PPR league with ten teams.Comment

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
Still a great foundation but I would begin thinking about how to get more options at RB.Comment

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
But when people think NO RB, they typically think about Ingram and Pierre Thomas. Darren Sproles put up some great numbers in that offense. I'd say Spiller will fill that role well.PSN: JWGoNDComment

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
Just got done with a 12 team auction draft. Standard scoring, 2 RB, 2 WR, and a flex spot.
QB: Tannehill
RB: CJ Anderson
RB: Lamar Miller
WR: Alshon Jeffery
WR: Sammy Watkins
TE: Travis Kelce
Flex: Amari Cooper
K: Adam Vinatieri
Defense: Dolphins
Bench:
Todd Gurley
Tre Mason
TJ Yeldon
Golden Tate
Allen Robinson
Torrey Smith
Carson Palmer
I spent pretty big on CJ and Jeffery, and then after that, I basically just tried to build up a deep team of potential breakout guys. I don't expect to hit on all of them, but I think I'll hit on enough of them that I should have a good lineup here.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
Soccer: USMNT/DC United

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
Just saw the last thread was closed so I'll re-post here:
Just had our league's draft this past afternoon. 10 team league with 0.5 PPR, 3WR and RB/WR/TE in FLEX.
1.8 TE Rob Gronkowski
2.3 WR Dez Bryant
3.8 HB Justin Forsett
4.3 HB Frank Gore
5.8 WR Jordan Matthews
6.3 HB Latavius Murray
7.8 QB Ben Roethlisberger*
8.3 HB Giovani Bernard
9.8 WR Charles Johnson
10.3 HB Rashad Jennings
11.8 HB Devonta Freeman
12.3 WR John Brown
13.8 WR Eric Decker
14.3 WR DeVante Parker**
15.8 HB Fred Jackson***
16.3 St. Louis Rams DST
17.8 K Mason Crosby
*Made a huge mistake drafting Ben when I did. The 9th and 10th teams already had their QB's drafted and I should have went after Brandon Marshall, who was still on the board (There was a 99.9% chance Ben would still be there). Instead, Marshall went the pick immediately after. Other than an uncertainty at the WR3 I'm more than happy with the lineup I ended up with.
**Dropped Parker for Torrey Smith after the draft. I'm not as high on Parker in the beginning of the year because of his injury and I doubt I would have kept him if another waiver wire stud emerged in the early weeks. He has monster upside but has to fend off Stills and Jennings for targets. I'll wait and see.
***Dropped Fred Jackson for Brandon Coleman (WR, New Orleans). I'm actually feeling better about this guy's chances early this season than I am with Parker. He's one of the biggest WR's in the league at 6'6" 220+ and has the potential to replace Graham's targets. There's been a lot of hype but he's deep on my bench for a reason --- I'll be ready to drop him if he doesn't contribute.
I'm also wondering if I should drop the Rams D for Carolina's, which is still available. The Panthers play the Jags Week 1 and the Texans Week 2, while the Rams play Seattle Week 1 and Washington Week 2.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Re: 2015 Rate My Team Thread
Just did my draft with my dad, brother, uncle, family friend and a bunch of other random guys. 12 teams, keeper league (one franchise player per team), PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WE, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE), 1 D/ST, 1 K, 5 Bench
1. (keeper) A.J Green (him or Manning were on my team)
2. Marshall Lynch
3. Big Ben
4. Jonathan Stewart
5. Deandre Hopkins
6. Sammy Watkins
7. T.J Yeldon
8. Kyle Rudolph (TEs went early, Gronk was a franchised player lol)
9. Andy Dalton
10. Seattle defense
11. Austin Seferian-Jenkins (my sleeper pick, so happy he lasted this long)
12. Percy Harvin
13. Mason Crosby (2nd kicker taken)
14.Fred Jackson (another sleeper IMO, if Lesean McCoy gets hurt he'll receive the bulk of the carries. This will be the guy I release eventually for another D or K when their it's their bye weeks)
I went for receivers/tight ends that are gonna receive a lot of targets and receptions (Green, Hopkins, Rudolph, Watkins?)
I went for RBs that are the #1 guy (Lynch/Stewart/Yeldon?) and will receive bulk of carries (hopefully lol) Fred Jackson and Austin S-J were sleepers I was high on. Really wanted McFadden instead of Jackson, but DM got taken right before me in the thirteenth round so I went kicker instead.Comment
