    What Should Constitute a Veto?

I'm curious to get others thoughts on how a veto should be used in a Fantasy Football League.

In one of my fantasy leagues ( not the 1 on here), we've had a lot of trades vetoed that leads to people arguing every week. Today was the 1st time that I had one vetoed. It was also the 1st time I did a trade this season. It was clearly a lopsided trade in my favor but I wasn't the one who offered it, I just accepted it.

My opinion is that in money leagues that the policy should be sink or swim since we're all adults and playing for money. I voted for everyone trade in this league in the past so I'm a little frustrated.

I don't think that I should need to get 7 or more people to agree to a trade that should only involve 2 people. It shouldn't be my fault that I find a trade that is very beneficial to me before others do.

I obviously agree with the use of the veto if collusion is suspected or some other extenuating circumstances.

What are your thoughts? Am I missing any circumstances where a veto should be used?

Nope. Agree with you 100%. Only when there is collusion should a trade be vetoed.

    Salty vetoing is straight basura

A veto is not to be used to save anyone from themselves.

It should only be used when there's an obvious collusion situation or, say, McCaffrey for Darren Sproles or something.

        A little late.

Veto should be used to stop collusion. It's not for butthurt owners mad that someone is getting a deal they think is too good.

In a Fantasy Football League, a veto is typically used to prevent unfair or collusive trades from taking place between teams. When a trade is proposed between two teams, the other league members have the option to veto the trade if they believe it is not in the best interest of the league as a whole.

However, it's important to use the veto power judiciously and only in cases where there is clear evidence of collusion or a major imbalance in the trade. The league should have clear guidelines and criteria for when a trade can be vetoed, and all members should understand and agree to these guidelines before the start of the season.

I used to break my head thinking about this and I have come to the same conclusion that the big leagues do (NFFC): no trading should be allowed, act accordingly.
