Conference realignment revealed as schedule is announced
The American Athletic Conference (AAC) will look significantly different this year when the college football season begins. The conference is losing some of its best programs, but it’s also attempting to reload with a few up-and-coming programs.
The league is losing three fantastic programs in Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF. It will be hard to replace them. However, the AAC has gone ahead and added Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Rice, UAB, and UTSA to the mix in order to soften the blow.
Here's a list of all the teams competing in AAC play this season:
Charlotte
ECU
FAU
Memphis
Navy
North Texas
Rice
SMU
Temple
Tulane
Tulsa
UAB
USF
UTSA
With that said, it should make the competition a bit softer for USF this year, but a weaker conference could also force out the higher-ranked recruits.
