Re: ESPN Presents: Matt10's BYU Cougars

SYSTEM: Playstation 3
SKILL: 8 Minutes, All-American, Injuries On, Fatigue On
I made my own sliders, have had very good results. QB throws are off target from time to time, from overthrows to underthrows. The running game is more simulation style rather than quick juke here and there and sprint away. I am still messing with the defense, but it seems to be working. The key here is realism - thats what I'm all about, anyone who knows me knows this. So if I see the slightest bit of unrealism (one-handed catches consistently, interceptions, crazy QB accuracy, etc) I will address it.

Code:
Human CPU

QB Accuracy 30 40
Pass Blocking 0 0
Receiver Catching 40 30
Running Ability 20 20
Offensive line Run Blocking 60 85
Defensive Awareness 30 15
Defensive line Knockdowns 0 0
Interceptions 100 100
Defensive Break Blocks 20 35
Tackling 0 0
Fieldgoal Power 20 25
Fieldgoal Accuracy 50 35
Punt Power 35 35
Punt Accuracy 40 40
Kickoff Length 60 60
ROSTER: MattUm's V1. (Lant base)

RECRUITING: Haven't got a feel for it yet, and is definitely a work in progress - towards realism.
REDSHIRTS: Only true freshman.

SCHEDULING: No 1-AA teams - unless I start to have some confidence issues, for instance consecutive losing seasons. Any Top 25 school game must be played away.
MISC: I will be taking names of anyone that wants to be created as a prospect after this season, more info will be posted later.

Re: ESPN Presents: Matt10's BYU Cougars

Season: 07-08 Season
Record: 5-7 Overall, 4-4 Conference (Finished 6th in MWC)
Prestige: Drop from 4 Stars to 3 Stars
Recap: Our biggest game had to be a loss to #2 West Virginia, with Gaskins throwing an interception in overtime. We struggled early on in the season to find a quarterback - Gaskins became the savior so to speak, but his efforts were not enough for a dysfunctional and unfocused team. We lost to the teams we should have beat, and we won the games we should have got beaten. We could chalk it up to sliders for some games, but the majority of it was lack of preparation per week.

Season: 08-09 Season
Record: 3-9 Overall, 2-6 Conference (Finished 8th in MWC)
Prestige: Drop from 3 Stars to 2 Stars
Recap: Probably one of the most difficult seasons to swallow. We never found our rhythm and therefore could not be consistent. An opening win at Oregon State was the ideal way to start, but from there a four-game losing streak, until a blow out victory over New Mexico. Our most hurtful lost came when we were leading Colorado State with less than 10 seconds and somehow they found the endzone for a miracle victory. Coach Bronco is still lucky to have his job coming into the 2009-2010 season.

Season: 09-10 Season
Record: 7-6 Overall, 6-2 Conference (Finished 3rd in MWC)

Bowl: Armed Forces Bowl - v California (L 31-17)
Prestige: Rise from 2 Stars to 3 Stars
Recap: When Josh Pace suffered an injury it looked like the Cougars would struggle on defense. Emerged in his absence was Tyler Clark, the defensive back from the same recruiting class. Clark finished the season as the nation's top defensive player, receiving the Chuck Bednarik Award. With the offensive side of the game coming together, for once, the Cougars slingshot a couple late results to finish 7-5 in the regular season - and then losing to California in the Armed Forces Bowl.
