Re: Rebuilding the Hopeless Lions.. Part II

Looks good.
It would be sweet if we could get rid of the 1st draft pick in a deal to get Culter. It costs too much for unproven talent.

BREAKING NEWS

Three future hall of famers have stated they will retire at seasons end. Jason taylor, Rodney Harrison and Jonathan Ogden have all stated that they will retire at seasons end. Taylor is a perrenial pro-bowl player. The game will miss his explosiveness and his mature attitude.

Rodney Harrison was a good safety. His better days were when he was a member of the New England Patriots during their super bowl years in early 2000s. He is one of the hardest hitters in the game todays when he has been healthy and thats the key word, health. Rodney has been plagued by injuries late in his career.

Jonathan Ogden was also a perrenial pro-bowler. He was a staple for the Baltimore Ravens on the left side on the offensive line. HHe is the old that every young left tackle wnts to be growing up. However; he has been plagued by injuried late in his career also.

Detroit re-signs another piece to the puzzle.

Detroit has re-signed cornerback Anthony Henry to a two year deal worth 4.84M and a 1M dollar bonus. Henry was not available for comments but, coach Plotzke had this to say: "Anthony is a key piece of our defense. He brings great play and leaderhsip to this defense. We're happy to be bringing him back"

Looks like your weakest position is safety.
Your thoughts?

y do u say that? I personally dont think so. I need some help along the oline and i think C is my biggest weakness followed by DT. I want to cut Darby and Redding but the cap hit is just unreal. Dwight Smith is gone at seasons end and ill probably cut Pearson if the cap hit goes down so in those terms, i am short in the safety position
