Collier In Place At A&M

College Station- Looking into Chris Colliers Office, you couldn't tell if he was just an interim head coach at Texas A&M. After the game he gave interviews for an hour and a half, even though it was just Homecoming game against a lower tier team

"We did real well. For the first time this season, I'm real proud of a game. aside from a pass interference that setup a field goal, it was perfect."

When asked about starting quarterback Frederick's injury:

"It's bruised, no more, no less."

Frederick Left the game after getting hit in mid-air diving for the goal line. Collier had this much to say about the game:

"Like i said before, we played a helluva game. Offensive Line played perfectly. I've got 2 large pizza for every lineman waiting. Tight Ends too. They've really stepped up. Our Linebackers were laying down the wood. As far as Jerrord (Johnson) goes, expect to see him a LOT more next week vs. Oklahoma State."

Nothing Is the Name Of The Game

Stillwater, Oklahoma-As HB/Punt returner Keondra Brown dashed the Oklahoma State punt team for a touchdown, A&M interim coach Chris Collier couldn't help but crack a wry smile. He was happy with the things around him. As he said to reporters about the rare smile:

"It's beautiful when things come together so quickly, ain't it? Our QB's were annimals, our Running backs were just total savages. Hell, 2 Quarterbacks and 3 Halfbacks had over 20 yards on the day. But the thing im most impressed with is the defence-Did they show up to play a ballgame or what?"

They did, pitching a total shutout and then some. But thats not all that Collier had to be excited about:

"Well, I had a very fine young man who I happen to be directly related to commit to play football at a very good University in College Station."

lol well..not really. were just stepping into conference play. Okla State's only win came vs. FCS west. Idaho's Idaho and New Mexico is the suck and the fail.

i geuss my only quality win was vs.Miami...and they suck too.

Aggies Are Impressive

College Station-For Texas A&M, this was their first real test. And one could see how. Bot A&M and Kansas State were equal. On paper. Both had even records, both had somewhat the same SOS. But games aren't played on paper. They're played on the field. And at Kyle Field, the Wildcats were embarrassed 34-10 by Texas A&M. The Texas A&M Aggies (5-0, 2-0) showed up to play early, with an opening punt returned 42 yards to the Kansas State 38. 5 plays and a screen to Smith (See below) later and Texas A&M was on the board. Texas A&M then capitalized on a Wildcat 3 and out with a PA bomb to Breyer. Smith ran 2 more time to get within the 5 when QB Johnson hit a strike to K.Smith for a TD. Things got hairy the next A&M drive when Frederick was rushed and hastily threw a pick to KSU FS White. White evaded defenders and was only a block away from a Touchdown when Frederick made up for the pick by making the tackle. Interim Head Coach Collier Had this to say:

"Im proud of my guys. Something Needs to be said for Smith carrying this team. 5 games into the year and he has 475 yards and 11 touchdowns. But he knows he owes it all to his Fat bodies up front. Everyone from Avery at LTE to Trice at RTE. And im proud ESPECIALLY of my defense. Bass, Furtch, Freeney, Dumas, Davis, everybody."

Rumors have it that directly after the interview that Collier met with a recruit who commited and then overviewed next weeks game plan for rival Texas Tech. College GameDay is rumored to be in College Station for the night game this saturday.
