Re: Kansas City Dynasty (NFL Head Coach 2009)

Week 14 @ Defending SB Champion Philly 8-4

I have played this team once before. It was week 4 in my 1st Steelers franchise and this team kicked the crap out of me, without B. Westbrook. With that in mind I figured this would be a slugfest.....

Philly gets the ball 1st, They drive down the field, McNabb getting 2 big runs in that should have been sacks. Other than a 1-10 pass play to Westbrook for 9 yards, all their plays are runs or result in runs. At the KC 35 the drive stalls and they punt the ball into the back of the endzone.
I start my drive with 2 bad passes, luck for me a -2 yard pass that was dropped turns into a 1-10 at the 18 due to a pass interference penalty. 3 runs nets me a 1st down. A 2nd down run of 8 give me a 3-2. I run a newer play I picked up from someone, It's a PA pass but the HB messes the play up. The result is still good as I get an 14 yard strike off to Clark. An 8 yard catch by Clark and a 6 yard run by Johnson gets me another 1st down. An inc pass at the Phil 31 ends the half. 0-0

2nd:
A 2nd and 10 run of 2 yards turns into a 2-18 after a holding penalty. On the next play I get a 5 yard short pass to Manningham to get me 3-13. The next play should have been a good one, 13 yard out to Bellows. but the defender pushes him out of bounds on the wrong side of the 21 yard line. I almost challenge it, but on 4-1 I decide to go for it. FB run up the gut. 21 yards later Hester breaks the goal line and I go up 7-0.

Philly Starts with the ball at the 26. A quick 12 yard pass to Brown gets them to the 38. Another quick 8 yard catch gets the to the 46 with a 2-2. A false start puts them back to 2-7, and holding penalty after a 4 yard run puts them back to 2-17. An Inc pass leads to a 3-17. A catch of 20 yards is turned into 4th down as Polamalu hits the receivers so hard his kids come out cross-eyed. They punt the ball to me a D. Jackson has a great return, getting me to mid-field. (I Forgot to mention this in the last post, but D. Jackson is the Pro-Bowl return man as well.)
Starting at midfield, I get 1 1st down before I am forced to punt. They also get 1 1st down before being forced to punt. The difference is this time I'm starting at the 8 yard line after a good punt. I call a PA pass and they load up the line, expecting a run. 92 yards later Goldman crosses the Goalline for a 14-0 lead.

They take possession with a little under 4 minutes to go. They drive the ball down the field, getting 3 1st Downs in a row. on 3-6 at the my 36 they try a dump pass that is stopped short of the marker. On 4-2 the run out the FG unit and slam a 53 yard FG right down the pipe for a 14-3 game. I get the ball back without allot of time and the half ends.

3rd:
I get the ball to start the 2nd half at the 29. After a 1st down on a 12 yard catch from Bowe. A 1-10 at the 42 pass to Johnson gets me 6. A 2-4 run by Johnson gets me a fumble and a turnover. I challenge, hard to tell but he knee could have been down. Nope. Philly ball. A 2-5 pas to A. Smith gets them 18 Yards at the 25 yard line. 2 passes puts them at the 15 and a new set of downs. A Redman sack and a 2 yd loss by Westbrook gets them a 3-15, but an 18 yard catch by Curtis gets them a 1st at the 3. Westbrook takes the next play for 6 to the outside. 14-10

I start my next drive at the 35. 2 passes and 2 runs net me 2 1st downs at the Phil 38. A 16 PA pass down the middle to Manningham gets me to the 19. A 1 yard loss and an Inc pass gets me 3-11 until Clark makes a good catch in traffic and stretches for the 1st down. 2 plays later it's 3-10 at the 8 and Marrow finds Clark wide open after the safety moved up to help cover Bellows. 21-10 and the end of the 3rd.

4th:
Phil gets the ball rolling with a 23 yard catch by Curtis on a 3-7. The next play at the Phil 46 results in a sack by Redman. The 2-12 pass by McNabb is picked off by Trufant!

1st and 10 at the Phil 39. I'm quickly at the Phil 13 after a 26 yard pass to Manningham. A loss and an Inc pass get me to 3-13 at the Phil 17. On a Shotgun play action, Marrow find Clark again for a 17 yard TD pass. 28-10 with 9:33 left.

Philly gets a great run-back and starts at the 41. Their 1st play results in a Mayo sack, this time without hurting himself. 2-14 is a 10 yard dump-off to Westbrook. 3-4 is Inc after Polamalu makes another Receivers family cross-eyed. They go for it on 4-4 and Hamlin drops a pass thrown right to him for a Turnover on downs. I decide to give L. Johnson a break and put Newberry in. After 2 runs it's 3-5 and a 15 yard strike to Bellows makes it 1-10 at the Phil 29. Newberry goes for 1 yard before being tired, Guy must have poor fatigue. James comes in and gets 5 more on the next play. A 3-4 Draw gets James 7 for the 1st down. Newberry has a good 7 yard run taken away by a holding penalty. Johnson gets 5 yards on 1-14. on 2-9 Newberry gets stuffed but a 3-0 PA pass to Goldman gets me a 1st down at the 3. Newberry gets stuffed for 2 yards but on 2-5 Johnson takes it to the house for a 35-10 lead.

Phil gets the ball back with less than 2m in the game. They try to go hurry up but a sack by Smithers and 2 inc passes end the try. They punt and I get the ball back at the KC 48. Mayo gets hurt on the Punt....... I run the ball three times and the game ends. 35-10

Marrow 19-31 302 3-0

Johnson 16-39 1TD
Hester 3 38 1TD

Clark 5 60 2TD
Goldman 2 103 2TD

Jackson 8T
Smithers 4T 2Sk
Mayo 4T 1Sk
Redman 7t 2Sk
Moore 1T 1Sk
Trufant 4T 1Int

McNabb 19-30 178 0-1

Westbrook 8-11 1TD
McNabb 4-29

Westbrook 7 58

Dawkins 9T
Sheppard 8T
Keglar 8T

Mayo's Injury is minor. I go 12-15 on 3rd down, they go 5-11. Approval at 98. Next week is a home game vs the Giants. Morrow loses his MVP title to D. Anderson. Screw the browns and their new offense. Anderson is putting up at a minimum 400 a game with 4-5 TD's. Redman is now 5th Def ROY. Colts are still undefeated and I still am losing the Coach of the year to Dungy........

Re: Kansas City Dynasty (NFL Head Coach 2009)

Week 15 Vs 10-3 NY Giants

The Giants start with the ball at the 31 but only get 1 play, I show blitz and Eli throws a confused pass right into the hands of FS Hamlin. 30 Yards later L. Johnson runs it in for the score. 7-0. NY starts at their 20 and drives down the field, a big 33yard catch by Shockey gets them down inside the red zone. a 2nd and GL knock down my Mayo and a dropped pass in the endzone has them kicking a FG. 7-3 After an excellent run back to the 45 that is almost run to the house my offense sputters and I am forced to 3 and out. a 12 yard run my McAllister gets them outside the 20 but the next play up the gut isn't so lucky, and McAllister finds Polamalu in his way and gets creamed. Long recovers the ball but the play costs me DT Lopez for the game. A few plays gets me to the 14 when James takes a sweep to the outside for another score, 14-3.

We trade punts until NY gets a FG with 7:06 left in the 2nd to make the score 14-6. I take a long and slow drive, sucking as much clock as I can and at the 2m warning I am forced to kick a 31yd FG to make it 17-6. NY get a 1st down on a 12 yard catch by Shockey, but after that are shut down. A 20 yard return of the punt gets me to the NY 45. 15 yards to Bowe and 11 to Johnson get me to the NY 19 with 0:32 left in the half and I have 1 TO left. 1st and 2nd down are drops and on third down a dump off to James get me 19 yards and the 1 inch line. I am forced to call an injury timeout which burns my last TO. I call in the FG unit and it's 20-6 at halftime.
We trade punts to start the 3rd. On my 2nd possession I start at the 20. the next 4 gains go: 5 yard penalty on the def, 17 yd PA pass to Bowe, 2 yard draw by James, 56yard TD Bomb to Bowe Taking a bad pass away from the defender for the score. 27-6. A slow but fruitless drive gets them to the 33 and the decide to punt, getting me the ball back at the 20. 2 Runs get me a 1st down and ends the half.

The 4th starts out with me continuing to drive done the field. 6 plays later it's 1st and 10 at the 31 and I call a draw out of the shotgun that end in a TD. 34-6. I start subbing in backup and we trade a few meaningless scores to end the game 43-13

Marrow 17-28 293 1-0

Johnson 14-37 1TD (got moved to 2nd back for most of game.)
James 9-79 2TD

Re: Kansas City Dynasty (NFL Head Coach 2009)

Divisional Round Vs Titans

The closest game I have had in a while. 6 Punts into the game the Titans finaly get on the board with a Fg at 0:53 left in the quarter. A 32 yard PA pass to Manningham and a 23 yard PA pass tp Bellows end the quarter and I start the 2nd quarter @ the Tenn 25. A 3-3 PA pass gets knocked down at the LOS stalling my drive and forcing a FG. 3-3. A few more punts leads to another KC FG. The half ends 6-3.

The 2nd half starts off with a bang, a 73 yard PA pass top Jackson makes it 13-3. A quick 3 and out gives me the ball back and leads to another FG. 16-3. They start their drive with a 3rd down 1st down catch by Tamme. The next run is stuffed at the LOS, but the next play is taken 68 yards by Douglas (Who I drafted...). Trufant had him covered well, but he was out jumped by Douglas. 16-10. A KC FG with 0:03 left in the 3rd gets it back to 2 scores.

5 Plays into the 4th they are punting it back to me, 7 plays later another FG goes up. 22-10. and they realy never get anything but 3 and outs after that. Game ends 28-10. Other than the bomb to Jackson I could never get my Red Zone Offence going.

Marrow 16-29 292 1-0

Johnson 15-34 Got hurt for half of game.
James 9-37

Jackson 5-158 1TD

Jackson 7T
Mayo 6T
Long 5T 1Sk
Hamlin 5T 1Int

Serna 7-7 FG's!

Young 14-35 196 1-1

Taylor 12-24
Young 6-28

Douglas 1-68 1TD

Griffin 10T
Thurman 9T
Haynesworth 8T 1Sk
Bulluck 4T 1Sk

Colts won their game so it's the battle of the 18-0's. I have the #1 seed somehow so It's in KC.

Re: Kansas City Dynasty (NFL Head Coach 2009)

Conference Final VS Indy.

Indy starts with the ball and by the 2nd play the game is over. Jackson runs the intercepted Manning pass in for a TD and it's 7-0. Manning tried to tackle Jackson and I didn't notice but he was hurt on the play. Next time I would see him is almost halftime. I(ndy 3 and out's it's next drive and mine is taken 4 plays 51 yards for a 14-0 lead. We trade punts back and forth untill 5:54 left in the 2nd when Bellows takes the PA pass 12 yards for a 21-0 lead. Indy 3 and outs again and 3 plays later James is tipnoeing it in for a 28-0 lead with 2:56 left in the half. Manning gets back in the game, How do I know this? His 1st pass back is a 79 yard hitch to Wayne that he breaks 2 tackles to score on. 28-7. A 50 yard FG with 0:04 left on the clock makes it 31-7.

The start of the 3rd quarter begins with a 86 yard kickoff return by Jackson. 38-7. And from that point is was over. I simmed much of the rest of the game. Final score was 48-35. The last few TD's were BS GOD mode plays.

Marrow 17-26 279 2-0

Johnson 14-60 1F
James 5-12 1TD

Goldman 5-136
Clark 4-47 1TD
Bellows 1-12 1TD

Jackson 7T 1Int 1TD
Redman 3T 1Sk
Jenkins 4T 1Int
Trufant 4T 1Int
Polamalu 3T 1Int

Manning 26-54 439 4-4

Addai 9-28 1TD

Wayne 9-237 2TD
Harrison 8-122 2TD

Brackett 10T 1FF 1FR
Booker 1Sk

And I'm off to the Super Bowl to play Philly.

Re: Kansas City Dynasty (NFL Head Coach 2009)

Super Bowl Vs Philadelphia

The 1st quarter consisted of alto of punts and a missed KC FG. I start the 2nd quarter mid drive and 3 plays later James takes it in for the score 6 yards. 7-0. After 2 punts Philly starts with the ball at the 20. McNabb scrambles out the right and MLB Jackson gets ahold of him and forces the ball out. DT Lopez takes the fumble in for the TD but the XP is missed... 13-0. Another Philly punt gets KC another FG with 4:52 left in the half. 16-0.

Thats the score until Johnson runs the ball in from 3 yards out for a 23-0 score, a Score that would be the final as Philly was pretty much shut down for the rest of the game and I went into ball control mode.

19-0, Not a bad season if you ask me.

Morrow 21-33 256 0-1 ( I just noticed I spell it Marrow and Morrow during the entire thread... and for the life of me I can't remember which it is..lol)

Johnson 19-82 1TD 1FM
James 5-14 1TD

Bowe 8-81
Goldman 4-85

Polamalu 6T 1Int
Jackson 6T 1FF
Redman 5T 2SK
Lopez 2T 1Int
Trufant 1T 1Int

Hard to name an MVP. Morrow threw an Int, Johnson had a fumble. I would call Jackson with the 6T and the FF the MVP of the SB.

McNabb 13-32 170 0-2

Westbrook 8-6
McNabb 10-47

Westbrook 4-12

McCree 10T
Gilbert 10T
Keglar 1T 1Sk
Sheppard 2T 1Int
