Re: Glory Awaits - A Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Dynasty

Kansas City sportsline with the week in review for the Kansas City Chiefs. After a
horrible performance from the Chiefs against Denver, Coach Jackson was in a less than generous mood. He called the players in on Monday and made them sit down and watch there last 2 games back to back. After a promising 3-1 start to the season, the Chiefs now stand at 3-3 and the possibility of a poor season is looming on the horizon.

RE Quintin Groves was the only player who played on Sunday missing as Groves is expected to be out for 2 weeks with a leg problem. When this was reported on Monday, many listeners thought enough is enough and that RE is an area which must be strengthed in the off season.

One rumour that does seem to be going around is that rookie Ozzie Jones may be offloaded in the close season in exchange for draft picks. Jones who was drafted 32nd by the Chiefs in April but has failed to make an impact in the pass first offence of the Chiefs. The Chiefs were hoping he would be a closer type of back, one who could gain them yards in the 4th quarter once they'd established a lead. However, his skills as an inside runner in the NFL seem to be limited and with the Chiefs seemingly unwilling to get the ball outside of the tackles his effectiveness has been somewhat limited.

JJ Bailey, William Gay, Clint Kriewaldt, David Carr and Adrian Mathis all sat down for another round of talks but none were successful.

Also after Thursday's practice, Coach Jackson named Andre Woodson as the starter for this weeks game against the Bengals.
