It took me a while, but I'm back to it!
#5 Wisconsin snaps #1 North Stars 24-game win streak, 34-24!
Wisconsin gets the sack, fumble, and touchdown to make it 34-24 and seal the victory
I'll just do some cliff notes to catch up everybody on the season:
- Started out 11-0, needed to beat Wisky for a chance to repeat. Didn't happen
- True freshman
Cedric Everett was playing awesome, but missed the past two games with injury
- Defense is just playing amazing. 56 sacks with 12 fumble recoveries and 14 INTs. This defense makes plays. Only give up ~15 pts/gm.
Ivan McKinney Update:
He's not going to win the Heisman. However he broke the all-time rushing yards record and rushing TD record this year before falling victim to a broken vertebrae and missing half the season. McKinney was having his best year to date until the nasty injury.
Career Stats
1,050 carries for 6,580 yards (6.3 avg) *NCAA record for yards*
153.0 yards per game
74 rushing touchdowns *NCAA record for TDs*
Longest rush of 98 yards
77 rushes of 20 yards or more
24 receptions for 332 yards and 2 TDs
He's the best player I've ever had. If he didn't get injured he would've passed 2,000 yards again and had probably 30 rushing TDs to go along with the well deserved Heisman. I was truly tempted to hit reset when he went down!!!
Bowl Game:
vs. #15 LSU (10-3, 7-2 SEC)
Capital One Bowl
I fell to #6 and don't get a dang BCS bowl game!!!
I'll update the site today as well.
