Raiders and Bart Andrus comeback (Head Coach 09)

Reports from Oakland Raiders Owner Al Davis suggest that he’s hired former Amsterdam Admirals Head Coach Bart Andrus. This comes after Davis fired coach Lane Kiffen after the Raiders went 4-12 last season. Andrus previously was an Offensive Coordinator for the Tennessee Titians for two seasons. Andrus lead the Amsterdam Admirals to the World Bowl in ’07 only to lose to the Sea Devils.

Hours after the announcement reporters soon were asking Raider players about the new hiring. Nnamdi Asomugha had a simple reply when asked his opinion on the new head coach, “It doesn’t matter who they bring here, it’s still Al Davis’ show.” So though it doesn’t seem that Asomugha was very excited but Raider receivers Jerry Porter and Ronald Curry both were very pleased with the new coach saying, [Porter] “…he’s a great coach, and has had experience in both the NFL and NFL Europa.” [Curry] “I couldn’t have thought of anyone better for the job.”

Bart Andrus was not available for an immediate interview.

I can't say that I do, honestly. But thats mostly because I can't view it locally.

Haha yeah, actually I knew some of the Europe NFL teams and grabbed one of their coaches. I did know he coached in the CFL though but I couldn't tell you any team names in the CFL except the Winnipeg Blue..uh..Bombers maybe?
