Bummer, I was hoping to see you guys beat Stanford in Weis' last game. At least it was close though.

Yeah, I really wanted a win. I played bad, didn't play very smart in the first half. I shoud have had a much bigger lead. Should still make a bowl game, predicted to make the Gator Bowl right now....

Re: Maize's Golden Domers: "Adding to the House Rockne Built"

So it was a long week last week and I did not have a single update. But I will be updating both this and my NFL Sim tonight. Lots of updates for tonight and going forward. I will be more consistent with updates from now on.

Part of it was Madden '10. It kept freezing after the retirement page. Then I was able to get it to work but then went back to update rosters and such. So more updates on the way.

Thank you. Sorry for the delay in details. Midterm week disrupted things a bit. Updates on their way.

Notre Dame Accepts Bid to Liberty Bowl
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team went through a rocky 2009 season to end the year 6-6, and heading into a bowl game without its' Head Coach. As the University starts a coaching search, that they have described as "outside the program," interim Head Coach Corwin Brown takes over.

Corwin Brown was the team's Associate Head Coach and gave up defensive playcalling duties to John Tenuta, who will continue to call plays for the bowl game. He is trying to keep the attention on the game ahead, which the team learned would be against the Conference USA Champions, Central Florida Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights headed into the season with many seeing it as a big year in the future of George O'Leary at the helm. O'Leary famously was fired as Head Coach of Notre Dame before ever coaching a game. He sees the game as a game of bragging rights and redemption.

The game will be played on January 2nd, in Memphis, Tennessee. For the eleven-win Golden Knights, it starts "in the trenches" as the team proudly has three All-Conference offensive lineman and two All-Conference defensive lineman. Including defensive end David Williams, who led C-USA with nine sacks.

A balanced offensive attack could challenge the Notre Dame defense, that has been inconsistent throughout the season. Notre Dame, however, touts one of the nation's best offenses, led by an explosive passing attack. What is expected to be a competitive game could be a job interview for Corwin Brown, or the closing of a chapter in the lengthy history of Notre Dame football.
