Lions fall to Vikings.
game was never even close.

Detroit, MI

The Lions fell to 0-2 on the season today. The Vikings defeat the Lions 35-7 in front of a very dissapointed home crowd.

"this game was played so poorly that I will be sick the rest of the week." stated coach Mariacci. The Low point on the day was seeing WR Charles Rogers carted off the field. It was revealed after the game that it was a broken leg and Rogers will spend the rest of the season on IR (3rd strait season)

Next game: vs. Miami (1-1)

Lions get drowned by Dolphins.
great offensive showing results in 0-3 start.

Detroit, MI

The Lions stormed out of the gate yesterday taking a 21-0 lead early into the 2nd quarter. The Dolphins scored an unanswered 24 points to take a 24-21 lead in the 4th quarter. Detroit responded with a touch down making the score 28-24. Miami's Ricky Williams scored an 81 yard TD soon after to make the score 31-28 Dolphins. Tim Couch responded with a 77 yard TD to Tia Streets and the Lions held a 35-31 with 1:45 remaining. The Lions defense was bending and eventually allowed a touchdown on a 4th and goal from the 4 yard line with :14 remaining in the game.

Leaders:
Feely---21/39--380 yards--4 Td--1 INT
Couch--20/33--419 yards--5 TD--4 INT

Willams--17--133 yards--1 TD
Jones---17--53 yards--0 TD

Boston--7--176 yards--2 TD
Streets-- 6 --183 yards--2 TD

Next Game: @ Phil (1-2)

Re: Detroit Lions redo 2004-present NFL 2k5

Eagles soar past Lions.
Detroit is now 0-4 on the season.

Philadelphia, PA

Lions---7--0--0--7--14
Eagles--10-0-7--3--20

It is hard to believe that the Lions were 7-5 at one point last season. The Lions ended last season on a 4 game losing streak to finish 7-9 on the season. This year the Lions have continued their losing steak and extended it to 8 strait.
The Lions did put up a fight today going 4 of 5 on 4th down but, in the end it was a pick six in the third quarter that made the difference. Tim Couch was sacked 5 times and was under constant pressure the entire game at one point he had 11 strait incompletions. Detroit is now one of two teams without a victory on the season and the only 0-4 team in the NFL.

Leaders:
Couch--15/40--166 yards--1 TD--2 INT
McNabb- 12/28-174 yards-1 TD-4 INT

Jones--16 att--66 yards--1 TD
Doyle--16 att--31 yards--0 TD

Martin--7 rec -- 97 yards--1 TD
Owens--7 rec --149 yards--1 TD

Next Game @ Chicago (0-3)

Re: Detroit Lions redo 2004-present NFL 2k5

was thinking of bringing this one back up and running. Should I keep Couch at starting or bring the rookie in.

I wasn't around when you were first doing this, read through it though and I really like it. Keep it going! Keep Couch in for a few more games and if he can't get anything going then put in the rookie.

Re: Detroit Lions redo 2004-present NFL 2k5

Alright I will bring this back this week. Couch will stay in untill week 10 at least. If the Lions are 3-7 or worse I will pull the plug and start the rookie.

Good plan. What sliders are you using, and do you use the weekly prep?

Also, if it helps you with formatting, an easy way to have the game's boxscore is to go here. Just scroll down, and it's on the left side. (You can also do standings and team/league leaders here as well. Simple, easy, and it looks nice.)
