Re: From the Superdome to the Superbowl (New Orleans Saints Madden 10)

4-0 No More!
Giants end Saints run
23-12

It may not have been the super bowl, but the G-Men ended the 4 game run of the Saints. New Orleans had no chance in this one... Eli Manning was 29-40 for 306 yards and 3 tds. "We couldnt stop them at all. We kept showing different packages but Eli picked everything up, i tip my hat to him." Said a visibly angered Sean Payton.

The Saints had nothing going for them. Reggie Bush was injured AGAIN (3rd game in a row he has missed atleast 2 quarters) rushing 11 times for 13 yards. Pierre Thomas was no better with 48 yards on 20 carries. Drew Brees went 11-27 for 218 yards and 2 ints.

Week 7 Preview
4-1 @
1-3-1

Can the Saints stop the wildcat? Thats the first question of the day as they look to rebound against a struggling Miami Dolphins team. The phins come in with no defense to speak of this year ranking dead last in every category. Their offense looks solid this year with Pennington and Ronnie Brown leading the way and Ted Ginn a flat out speedster at wideout.

Vegas line has the Saints a +3 road favorite, ESPN's NFL Live has the Saints coasting past the phish:

Saints 48
Dolphins
10

Re: From the Superdome to the Superbowl (New Orleans Saints Madden 10)

Comeback halted.
Dolphins D
Stuns Saints
35-33

Losing to the Giants is one thing..... dropping the second straight to the phins is something different. down 35-27 with 2 minutes left Drew Brees (34-40 400 yards) marched the Saints down the field for a TD pass to Jeremy Shockey with 3 seconds left. at 35-33 the Saints had a shot to tie it up with a 2 pt conversion. On a play action bootleg to the right Brees looked for Colston who had a step on Will Allen... but at the last second Jason Taylor tripped up the Purdue Alum and ended the game. To make matter worse, the Falcons have won 2 in a row and are a game behind the Saints heading to week 8.

Week 8 Preview

3-2-1 @ 4-2

Its an NFC South showdown for first place. Matt Ryan and company travel into the Superdome for mid season bragging rights. The Saints lost Reggie Bush for two weeks against the Dolphins with bruised ribs, so its up to Pierre Thomas to shoulder the load. The Saints will have to match up with Roddy White, Tony Gonzales, and Michael Turner. With the injury to Bush, the Vegas line has this at a *pick'em* game. ESPN's NFL Live has it:

FALCONS 21
SAINTS 20

Falcons Soar

Saints drop 3rd straight,
slip into tie for 2nd
after 44-10 drubbing from the Falcons

Welcome back down to reality New Orleans. The Saints by far played their worst game of the season. Drew Brees had one of the worst games of his professional career going 11-40 for 118 yards 1 td and 5 ints. The Falcons were throwing constant defensive pressure and different looks with multiple blitz packages and 8 man fronts. Michael Turner for the Falcons rushed 31 times for 228 yards and 2 scores. while roddy white had 5 catches for 90 yards. Matt Ryan showed no signs of a sophmore jinx, going 20-28 304 and 2 tds.

With the loss the Saints fall to 4-3, a game behind the Falcons (4-2-1) and into a tie with the Panthers (4-3). And next week the Panthers travel to New Orleans to meet up with the Boys of Bourbon Street

FALCONS 14 20 0 10 44
SAINTS 0 3 0 7 10
