I hope you lose to NC State and Russell Wilson has a field day on your defense for saying the ACC Atlantic is weak.

Upset in Lawrence!!!

Lawrence, KS (AP) - The #24 Kansas Jayhawks (2-1, 0-0 Big 12) shockingly fell to the Duke Blue Devils (3-0, 0-0 ACC) today as Duke continues to be undefeated through three games.

Duke was able to jump out to an early 7-0 first quarter lead and went on to lead 21-7 at halftime and 28-7 midway through the third quarter. Kansas made a comeback at the end to get within six points to make it 34-28, but Duke recovered an onside kick with a minute left to secure the victory.

The key to Duke's surprising upset was their defense. While Kansas eventually ended up with 437 yards of total offense and 351 passing yards, Duke was able to keep them under wraps through the first two-and-a-half quarters and by the time the Todd Reesing and the Jayhawk offense came to life late in the third quarter, Kansas was facing a three-touchdown deficit.

Requan Boyette was instrumental in Duke's offensive success today as he ran the ball 23 times for 146 yards and a touchdown. Boyette was injured with a strained shoulder late in the third quarter and was knocked out for the remainder of the game. Jay Hollingsworth ran for 55 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries as he came in to relieve Boyette while running down the clock late in the game.

"This is a huge win for us and huge for our bowl chances," stated Duke head coach James Frizzell. "We just went out and did our thing and it brought us a huge victory. I don't know if it means that we are better than expected, Kansas is worse than expected, or if it was just a fluke, but I'll take it."
