Yep. BTW, I pretty much used your HTML format from your updates back when you were at Tulsa to do the scoreboard for this dynasty and customized it since I have no knowledge of HTML.

So thank you for that.

There's nothing truly wrong with it, but it's just that 1.) Since next-gen doesn't have FCS teams, it's just FCS East, FCS Southeast, ect. and 2.) EA made the FCS teams so slow and terrible that you can just about score on every play. You should be able to blow FCS teams out easily, but I could put 100 points up on FCS teams with Duke if I wanted to. Last-gen did FCS teams a lot better, especially since last-gen actually had most of the FCS schools (Well, back then they were 1-AA schools, I guess).

So thank you for that.

No problem. Please feel free to use anything from my reports.

I'll be interested to see how well Devine does for you this season. Hopefully he won't declare early, and then you'll get to enjoy him for two seasons.

Well, I don't want to use too much since I want to keep this original, but I really liked the way you made the scoreboard look like the real ESPN page, so I used it. Besides, your Kentucky Wildcat-themed HTML wouldn't go too well with my WVU game reports.

He should be pretty good. He's definitely quick, so if he gets an opening, he'll be off to the races.

Morgantown, WV (AP) - The 21st-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers (2-0, 0-0 Big East) got revenge on the East Carolina Pirates (1-1, 0-0 C-USA) this afternoon, the same Pirates team that beat the Mountaineers 21-3 last year back in Greenville, NC. At the time, West Virginia was ranked in the top 10 and the loss began a death spiral that led to the Mountaineers starting 1-2 after WVU blew a game at Colorado.

Today, however, the Mountaineers came out to play under first-year head coach Doc Holliday as the offense of old seemed to return to Morgantown, as the Mountaineers put up 55 points, 519 yards of offense, and 283 rushing yards.

In fact, the Mountaineers were so efficient that Scott Kozlowski did not punt the ball a single time. The only time the Mountaineers failed to score was on a missed field goal and four turnovers. The Mountaineers will want to cut down on their turnovers when they face the big boys later in the season, but it was a good sign that the offense was simply unstoppable.

Despite allowing 35 points, the defense played fairly well, too. Two of East Carolina's scores were off of West Virginia turnovers, one off of a fumble by Jarrett Brown and another off of an interception.

Jarrett Brown had a rough first half for the Mountaineers as he threw two picks in the first two quarters. However, Brown settled down and had a good day, throwing for 236 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Brown hooked up with wide receiver Jock Sanders early and often as Sanders caught six of Brown's passes for 127 yards and a 50 yard touchdown.

Noel Devine showed why he is considered one of the best halfbacks in all of college football today as the speedster reeled off 131 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns off 27 carries. True freshman Tavon Austin also added 71 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Box Score

WVU: 88 yard kickoff return by Devine (24-14 WVU)

Auburn, AL (AP) - The 19th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers (2-1, 0-0 Big East) sustained their first loss under new head coach Doc Holliday today as the Mountaineers fell by a field goal at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama.

The Auburn Tigers (3-0, 1-0 SEC) came strong out of the gates, forcing the Mountaineers to go three-and-out on their first drive. The Tigers put seven points up on the board shortly thereafter as Neil Caudle connected with Tim Hawthorne to put the Tigers up 7-0. Hawthorne had two touchdowns on the day.

Auburn would eventually extent its lead to 14-6 at the half and 21-6 after three quarters of play.

After just scoring six points in the first three quarters, the Mountaineer offense got it going in the fourth quarter, but it was too late. The Mountaineers, facing a 15 points deficit, scored a touchdown and were successful on the two-point conversion to get within 21-14. However, an impressive 47 yard field goal by Auburn's Wes Byrum with 1:41 remaining essentially sealed the game.

The Mountaineers came out firing on the next drive and quickly scored as Jarrett Brown hooked up with Wes Lyons from four yards out. However, Scott Kozlowski's onside kick was no recovered by the Mountaineers on the ensuing kickoff. With only just over a minute remaining and the Mountaineers out of timeouts, Auburn simply kneeled the ball three times to finish off an impressive win as the Tigers start out 3-0.
