Drafting Rules
+ I can't stockpile draft picks
+ I can only scout prospects for 5 weeks MAXIMUM
+ After much debate, I'm going to use generated draft classes. I didn't really want to...BUT...having stud NCAA players come in as terrible NFL players would eat at me. Also, when you get some really bad image for a player (example = Tim Tebow was balding and had orangish hair) it takes away from everything.
Panthers record: 7-9, actually won the last 3 games to try and save Coach John Fox's job. That did not work as Mr. Fox will need to find a job somewhere else. The Panthers needs to go in a new direction because they have way too much talent.

Up next is the NFL Draft. I will put it in a spoiler because I'm using generated draft classes and I don't want to give away the ratings. However, I'm only going to post the seven rookies I draft, so it's not like I'm giving everything away.
Round #1 - QB Kolby Fitch, Louisville | 6-4, 219 | 22 years old
Fitch comes in rated as a 79, which is the same as Delhomme. If you take away awareness Fitch has the clear advantage, and he will be the franchise quarterback for the Panthers. Key attributes: Throw power - 93, short/mid/deep acc - 80/81/80, speed - 67
Round #2 - SS Demetrius Ponder, Miami | 5-10, 191 | 21 years old
Ponder is rated a 75 to begin his career with Carolina. He's behind Chris Harris, a 5-year vet rated a 79. Ponder will surely get special teams play and some time at both FS & SS. Key attributes: Speed - 88, tackle - 77, hit power - 85, awareness - 51
Round #3 - WR Marcus Maxwell, Indiana | 6-3, 200 | 21 years old
In 4-wide sets we will get to see Maxwell at work. He is rated a 60 with good speed (91) and catching (80). He has terrible awareness (25) and spectacular catch (40) so don't expect too many highlight reels coming from this rookie.
Round #4 - TE Kevonte Marble, Louisville | 6-2, 231 | 22 years old
He gets to rejoin his college QB Fitch and more than likely Marble will be the starter with his 71 rating. He's got great speed (87) and awareness (70) for a rookie. He had average hands (72) and isn't the best run blocker, but he'll be able to be a force on offense.
Round #5 - P Thomas Mays, Missouri | 5-8, 218 | 21 years old
Mays is the surprise of the 2010 draft as he comes in rated an 83. He has 97 kick power and 88 kick accuracy. Carolina was filling a need and came away with a steal.
Round #6 - C Rob Gibson, Northern Illinois | 6-1, 303 | 23 years old
He fills a need as a backup center as he's rated a 64, which isn't too bad in the 6th round. He's an average blocker all around and if the starter goes down he'll get some playing time.
Round #7 - K Rex Valor, Pittsburgh | 5-10, 217 |
He's very average and Carolina might have a problem with a 50 rated kicker. However his low rating is mainly due to his 25 awareness. His 88 kick power and 83 kick accuracy seem fine.
Draft Grade = A-
The Panthers got a franchise quarterback and a starting TE who can make big plays. They would've liked to have gotten a better rated WR who can make tough catches, but they'll settle for their decent #4 receiver.
Notable rookie QBs (no names)
+ Redskins QB is rated a 60 and will be starting
+ Vikings took a QB with pick #2 after Favre retired and he's a 78 overall (my QB is a 79 ha!). He might start over Jason Campbell (FA signee, rated 78).
+ Browns rookie QB is an 82 and he went in the 4th or 5th round. I knew he was a sleeper. Sucks for Brady Quinn who had 24 TDs and 12 INTs in 2009.
+ Jaguars have a QB battle with a 79 rated rookie QB and David Garrard (79).
6 rookie QBs could start!
Notable rookie HBs (no names)
+ Redskins drafted a stud HB (84 overall, 97 speed, 99 agility, 99 accel) but he'll be playing behind Clinton Portis who is in the last year of his contract.
+ Dolphins got a MONSTER at HB. All I can say is he is a Brandon Jacobs clone but faster! Wow wow wow. He's an 85 but will probably be a 99 by next year.
Doesn't look like any HB will start.
Notable rookie WRs (no names)
+ Raiders will have a white WR who is a 79 overall as their #1 WR. Holy f'n hell he has 99 speed and is white hahahaha.
+ Falcons have a nice #3 WR who is a 76
Not a very good WR class. The QBs seem to have taken the cake for this generated draft class.
Yea it drove me over the edge when I really wanted to ues imported rookies. Plus in-game they look like their images. To draft a guy like Tebow and see some balding guy with red hair when talking about Tebow would ruin it for me.

Fortunately the awareness is what drags down the ratings. His KPWR & KACC are fine.

I'm not a fan of the pre-season so I'm simming that. I played three quarters and I'm happy with what I saw. No need to play those meaningless games.
My only position battle is at tight end but they are both gonna play anyways. If I had a QB controversy I might play a game or two, but Fitch is gonna start. I'm not a Delhomme fan.
