Doesn't all of the San Fran's QB's have bad potential? That's the only reason why I said that lol.

Re: The San Francisco 49ers - Marching For Greatness

After 2 Weeks Hill Leads The Campaign

AP - With the 49ers first two preseason games wrapped up. They are well, 0-2. But the clear front runner for the starting QB job is Shaun Hill. Actually rookie is doing just as well as Alex Smith which isn't saying much. In games vs Denver and Oakland Shaun Hill has a QB rating of 108.7. Hill has completed 10 of 15 attempts with 104 yards and 1 TD, while going 5/6 in his preseason debut. Alex Smith is posting a miserable 58.1 rating going 4/18 for only 43 yards and a TD. Nate Davis has a rating of 30.9 going 8 for 24 but posting 124 yards leading all 3 QBs, but has thrown 2 INT along with 1 TD.

2nd year player Kentwan Balmer leads the team with 2 sacks. Something surprising is the 49 lead all teams with 7 INTs. While being +6 in the turnover difference.

It was announced that Alex Smith will indeed be starting in the 3rd preseason game against the Cowboys for him to get 1st team reps. It is not said how long he will play for. Hill is not injured but is so far the team's seemingly best option.
