You know what the worst thing was?

They were throwing the ball up 30 with like 3 minutes left. Of the 17 pts they scored in the 4th, 2 TDs came on pass plays after the 3 min mark.

F*** you Charlie Weiss.

Coach KG will not forget this.

Lol

When hell freezes over, pigs fly and Air Force beats Notre Dame is when the world will end.

Game #2

@

1st 2nd 3rd 4th F
Minny 7 7 6 7 27
AF 7 0 12 18 37

Coming off a disappointing home opener vs Notre Dame, the Air Force Falcons responded with a 10pt win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Things started off where last week's game ended, a Duane Bennett 65yd TD run to make it 7-0 Gophers. Air Force was able to move the ball but their offense stalled around midfield and were forced to punt. After holding the Gophers, the Falcons offense went to work and tied the game at 7 on a 4yd Jefferson option keeper.

In the 2nd qtr only Minnesota would see the endzone making it 14-7 going into the half. On their first possession Tim Jefferson and Ashley Clark would run the screen perfectly, resulting in a 77 yd TD pass.

Tim Jefferson would make the play of the game, a 67yd option keeper.

In the 4th, the Falcons offense would execute the screen perfectly again and the result, an Air Force win.

Player of the Game
QB Tim Jefferson
8-14 217yds 2 TDs, 18car - 150yds 2 TDs

HB Asher Clark 53yds rushing, 191yds rec'ving 2 TDs

Up next, home vs. New Mexico

I have watched that 2nd video about 8 times...What the hell was the only defender between you and the end zone doing? He had you dead to rights, and then all of a sudden made a cut and a sprint back to the middle of the field?

LOL. I watched the replay about 10 times too and still have no idea. You can't see it on the replay I posted but he ran up to be blocked. It happened so fast in the game that I didn't even have time to react so I just kept running. It helped inflate Jefferson's stats that game but don't get it wrong, he was a beast that game. I didn't upload his 4th qtr sealing TD run, a Midline QB keeper through the middle from about the 12 that he dragged a defender 3yds into the endzone.

The Air Force Falcons opened up MWC play with a 20-19 win over the New Mexico Lobos. The 2 game winning streak helped AF improve to 2-1 on the field and remind the folks in the MWC that the Falcons will have something to say in the MWC race.

Things once again started rocky for the Falcons defense as NM's Chris Biren got behind the Falcon defense and raced for a 62yd TD run to make it 7-0 Lobos. Air Force responded with a methodical drive culminating in a Tim Jefferson 3yd QB keeper.

The 2nd quarter lacked excitement until at the 2:18 mark NM HB Vincent Minor found paydirt from 7yds out. Excitement was temporarily haulted when NM missed the XP making it 13-7. One minute later Air Force responded in resilient fashopn on a 1yd Asher Clark TD run making it 14-13 heading into the half.

The 3rd quarter would once again see the NM offense striker first as WR Daryl Jones caight a 6yd TD pass. NM decided to go for 2 but the pass was broken up by CB Reggie Rembert making it 19-14 Lobos. Once again the Falcons responded and on the next drive Tim Jefferson dropped back to pass and didn't see anyone open so he decided to call his own number and scampered into the enzone. After a failed 2pt conversion AF led 20-19.

The 4th quarter would be an exercise in punts as the only NM drive was haulted at midfield by a Reggie Rembert interception. Up next the Falcons will go home to take on the San Diego State Aztecs.

Key Stats

AF
Tim Jefferson 10-13 122yds 1 INT 26carries - 89yds 2 TDs
Asher Clark 18 carries - 61yds 1 TD 4rec - 74yds
Peeples 9 carries - 41yds
Rembert - 6tkls 1 Int

NM
Porteri 22-32 218yds 1 TD 3 INTs
Minor 13 carries - 67yds
Jones 9 rec - 103yds 1 TD
