Whenever Adrian Peterson steps on the field you can only hope to slow him down. That is exactly what the Rams managed to do behind their new found defensive spirit.

Peterson was held to 96 yards but still scored 2 TDs on 26 carries.

Stephen Jackson, on the other hand was demolished by the Vikings D-Line as he only gained 29 yards on 25 carries.

Marc Bulger was able to overcome his last couple weak performances and went 20/36 for 320 yards 3 TDs and 1 INT.

Unfortunately, Bulger's main target Donnie Avery suffered a partially torn groin muscle in the 2nd quarter and will be out for at least 4 weeks.

On a plus side, Keenan Burton pulled down seven passes for 114 yards to lead all receivers.

The key stat of the game was Brett Favre's 3 INTs. His forced passes were continuously batted down or intercepted as the Vikings struggled to rally back.

Rams Sign Matt Jones

The troubled WR has found a home in the NFL. For at least a few weeks. St. Louis was forced into free agency after their #1 WR Donnie Avery went down with a Torn Groin.

The 6'6" receiver hopes to make a case for a long term contract if he performs well for the Rams next week against Jacksonville.

His contract details are -
1 year $2.9 Million
