SUPER SNUTZ
Snutz Molds Bengals into Superbowl Winner

In just his third season as team owner Dee Snutz has made the Bengals into a Superbowl winner. The Bengals ran through the regular season at 14-2. They defeated the Broncos 31-14, then the Pats 42-17 to make it to the big game.

The Falcons were overmatched on both sides of the ball and Cincy defeated them 31-3. At the half the score was 10-3 Bengals, who had scored a 25 yard field goal by Spisak in the first quarter and a 20 yard TD by Singletary in the second. Atlanto got on the board with a 36 yard Lindell field goal as the first half expired.

The third quarter was a defensive chess match with no scoring. Cincy would increase their lead with a 6 yard Palmer to Jones TD then pull away with a Jones TD run and an interception returned 30 yards for a TD by Greene, making the final 31-3.

Cincinnati leaned heavily on the running game with Jones racking up 80 yards and Singletary 64.

The Bengals have a handful of free agents coming up, if they can resign the majority of them they should compete again next season as their roster is very young overall.

Bengals New Look Coaching Staff

With Norv Turner announcing his retirement and the remainder of the Bengals coaching staff heavily recruited by other teams a full replacement staff would be needed. Snutz immediately went after Mike Tomlin and locked him down quickly. Former Patriots linebacker mike Vrabel has been signed on as defensive coordinator and Amani Toomer was brough in as offensive coordinator. Despite no coaching experience Tomlin said the following, "You're looking at two guys that were like coaches on the field all along so it's really no big transition for them."

Joe Marciano will step in as special teams coordinator, replacing the departed Steve Crosby, who has taken a job with the NCAA.
