2009 Philadelphia Eagles (Coach Mode)

Going to run this Coach Mode, broadcast cam, 15 minute qtrs.,. 20 sec accel clock, Custom Sliders, pre-existing injuries set to off.

I will be taking over as GM of the Eagles. Andy Reid and his staff will remain in tact. I am not planning on making any major roster moves but will try to fill some holes via free agency or trades. But my philosophy is to build the team through the draft.

I simmed the pre-season and the only significant injury was starting MLB Stewart Bradley broke his collarbone and will be out of around 9 weeks.

Re: 2009 Philadelphia Eagles (Coach Mode)

Looking at the roster made one immediate roster move. The Eagles released RB Eldra Buckley and signed RB TJ Duckett.

We felt our 3 RB's were all the same type of player, and we lacked a physical back to wear teams down late in the game, and on the goalline. So we added Duckett to the roster to fill that role.

Might look to add some experience at the OLB positions. Punter is a position me may try to upgrade as well.

Week 1 is upon us and we will be travelling to Carolina to take on the Panthers and their vaunted rushing attack.

Re: 2009 Philadelphia Eagles (Coach Mode)

Eagles open the season with a 49-35 shootout win over the Panthers.

First half was full of big plays, and the Eagles worries about their LB corps. look to be justified as they could not stop the running tandem of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart.

The Score was tied 28-28 going in to the half when the Eagles defense settled down and their offense took control of the game. The Eagles racked up 472 yards of total offense passing for 340 yards and rushing for another 132. Rookies Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy scored their first career touchdowns for the Eagles.

Statistical Highlights.

Eagles
B.Westbrook 57 yds 2 td's rushing, 77 yds 2 td's receiving
L.McCoy 14 att, 64 yds 1 td
D.Jackson 3 rec. 107 yards 1 td
M.Patterson 7 tkl, 1 tfl, 1 sack.

Panthers
D.Williams 21 att, 154 yards, 1 td
S.Smith 8 rec. 112 yds, 2 td
T.Davis 8 tkl, 2 tfl

Next up the Eagles take on the high powered Saints.

Re: 2009 Philadelphia Eagles (Coach Mode)

Next the 2-0 Eagles took on the Kansas City Chiefs in Philly.

The Eagles opened the scoring when Donovan McNabb hit Kevin Curtis for a 33 yard touchdown pass. KC scored on their next possession on a Kevin Succop 45 yard field goal. With 1:22 left in the 1st quarter Brian Westbrook scored from 22 yards out and the first quarter would end 14-3 Philly.

The Chiefs opened the 2nd quarter with a touchdown drive of their own. Larry Johnson capped the drive with an 8 yard run to narrow the score to 14-10. TJ Duckett would score from the 1 yard line for Philly in the closing second of the first half and the teams went in to the locker room with the Eagles leading 21-10.

The Chiefs used a Succop 28 yard field goal to close the game to 21-13, but the Eagles would score 10 unasnwered points on a McNabb to Curtis touchdown pass and a David Akers field goal to finish the game winning 31-13.

The win improves the Eagles to 3-0.

**Note*** There is no highlight package for this game I accidentally erased it.
