Player Highlight - QB Matt Joseph

Quarterback
Matt Joseph #11
6'0" 183 LBs
Freshman (RS)
85 Overall
82 Speed
68 Awareness
87 Throw Power
82 Throw Accuracy
82 Agility
87 Stamina
88 Injury

Matt is not a very big Quarterback, put can ping a ball into his receivers like the best of them. Over time, his Accuracy will improve, with diligent hard work with the coaches. Game experience is at the core of what will improve Matt's overall game. He is dedicated to hitting the books , studying film and taking all of his reps in training. Not blessed with lightening speed, Matt can still move around in the pocket and scramble for a first down when needed.

Week Three: North Texas vs. #12 Alabama

at
Tuscaloosa, AL - North Texas going into this game is coming off of two big, non-conference wins. But, Coach Troy is very aware that the game against Alabama will likely be the biggest challenge of the year for the Mean Green.

North Texas opened the game with three touchdowns, to leave the score at the half 21-0 North Texas. The wheels fell off of the cart in the second half, with 24 unanswered points being scored by the Crimson Tide. North Texas QB Matt Joseph threw for 6 interceptions in the second half, giving Alabama repeated great field position.
After the game, Coach Troy said, "In a year or two our young starting QB doesn't make those mistakes and maybe a game like this goes our way."
