As the 2009 season begins expectations for the Irish are as high as they can be. As the offense as enough weapons to become a contender for the BCS championship. This year is very special to coach Charlie Weis as this is finally "his team" because these are all of the players he has recruited his past four years. Notre Dame also has one of the weaker schedules in the FBS they can easily make it to a BCS bowl or even the BCS championship.

Notre Dames offense shines as they crush Nevada.

As all who came to watch this game knew that Nevada would have to play a hell of a game to have a slim chance to beat this strong Notre Dame offense. Even tho Nevada had 245 yards of total offense they were held to 14 points. On the flip side Notre Dames offense looked spectacular as they had 509 total yards of offense and Jimmy Clausen had a career day as he had almost a perfect performance. This will definetly lauch a Heisman campaign for him and thier definetly is more to come.
