USF Gets off to a 2-0 Start With A Blowout Win Over a Week Western Kentucky Team
South Florida is out to prove that they are an underrated team. While a 38-10 win certainly looks good, it's hard to tell how good this South Florida team really is until they start playing some tougher competition.

Connecticut Falls to 13th Ranked North Carolina
While noone expected Connecticut to come away with a victory over #13 UNC, it is a bit troublesome to Connecticut fans that the team has only managed a combined 6 points in its first two games.

Week 2 - Nationally Televised Big East Game #1

AT

West Virginia, pride of the Big East this year, got off to a slow start against Conference USA opponent East Carolina, but managed to pull off the win in the end.

While failing to score in the first quarter, the Mountaineers allowed ECU to take a 6-0 lead on field goals of 47 and 39 yards. The Pirates extended their lead to 9-0 with another long field goal early in the second quarter.

After that, however, West Virginia began to battle back, scoring a touchdown with 2:36 left in the half, and then getting the ball back and managing to score again with 0:09 left, taking a 14-9 lead into halftime.

The Mountaineers really broke the game open in the third quarter, scoring twenty points in the period while holding ECU to a lone field goal. WVU cruised from there, eventually winning the contest 34-20.

The Mountaineers were lead by QB Jenkins, who was 15-30 for 177 yards, and also had 19 carries.
