Titans Owner Bud Adams sells team

Titans owner Bud Adams said today he was asked to step down by the other NFL Owners for his inappropriate actions in a game between the Titans and Buffalo Bills. Adams said that although he loved the team, he had planned to sell the team anyway because he the strain was getting to him. Adams said the team was bought by Oil Tycoon and owner of Gadsen Oil Industries, Eli Gadsen, and Gadsen made himself and friend Eric Lafe Co-GM's of the team. Gadsen said he had been scouting quite a few college games this year and sent Lafe, to a few others. "We would watch the games and compare notes to see what it was like to be out there and we were really excited about the prospect of buying a team this offseason and getting to work out there." Randolph played Quarterback at D-II Abeline Christian University while Lafe played Linebacker. Both were 4-year starters and childhood friends and room mates. Both were Undrafted Free-Agents in the league, and signed together with the Buccaneers and returned to their childhood home. They were with the Bucs until after the 2005 season when both retired. Randolph went 334-471 for 3576 yards, 27 touchdowns and 19 interceptions over 5 years in the league in Tampa. Lafe had 321 tackles, 7 sacks, 12 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions and 2 touchdowns while backing up for every linebacker position and special teams duty. Randolph played his 6th season in the NFL as a Tight End, where he caught 37 passes for 437 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 17 special teams tackles. After they retired, the men combined to start a oil business an got lucky when they were allowed to do offshore drilling in Florida and struck early on and made it big. They tried to buy the Bills last season from Ralph Wilson but were denied, but jumped on this chance. There has also been talk of a move from Nashville to Los Angeles CA, Orlando FL, or even Mexico City or somewhere in Canada. After hearing these rumors, The men came out and said the team would be in Nashville for at least this next season. The Titans were 12-4 last season, led on offense by C Kevin Mawae and stellar young backfield duo of QB Vince Young and RB Chris Johnson and on defense by a Veteran duo of Linebackers, Keith Bullocks and Derrick Brooks.
