Morgantown, W.Va. - After the closing minutes os Signing Day 2011 it was counted the West Virginia signed 22 recruits. The Mountaineers finished with the #7 Recruiting Class on rivals.com.
The Mountaineers got one 5* recruit to sign, twelve 4*, ten 3*, and two 2* signed with West Virginia.

9 Players Didn't Make The Cut For Jones' Team

Morgantown, W.Va - Well Mountaineer fans it is a day before the 2011 Gold-Blue Game and Head Coach Butch Jones has released that 9 players have been cut from the team. Chauncey McBride, Nick Louis, Sean Brock, Lama Burley, Cedric Boothe, Todd Campbell, Jabari Bailey, Chris Morris, and Jamaal Cochran will all have to find football somewhere else in their college career. "I hate cutting guys that you spend so much time trying to get here but sometimes they don't fit in, rosters are way to full, and they just don't learn the system like you want them to." says Butch Jones of the cuts.

Yes I do remember that game. Watching at a friend's house (WVU fan) for the first half. I kept laughing as McAffy missed the FGs. I went to high school with him, so I follow his career. Yea lol it had somethhing to do with his retirement haha. I was at the game. The stadium was in just complete silence and I have to admit I cried lol.
