"Randy was causing too much trouble off the field. Moss quitting in the early 2nd quarter VS the Atlanta Falcons also played a factor in the release."

The Patriots went on to lose the game Vs the Atlanta Falcons 34-20.

Today after practice this is what Sean Payton had to say about this weeks practice and preperation -

"The offense and defense had a day off on Monday to regroup their thoughts. On Tuesday had a great practice, people were putting more effort in it than they thought they could. Our Gameplan Vs the No.2# Defense in the league is going to be patience. This defense isn't going to give us many chances if any to get 1st downs. Brees doesn't need to be forcing the ball into tight windows, because with this defense...They will make you pay. Our Gameplan for the WR's is too move them around into diffirent spots. We need to have Revis away from the ball as much as possible. We already know Revis is gunna lock up his man, so were gunna try to post up our worst WR on him."

Gregg Williams (Defensive Cordinator) -

"Our Gameplan is to keep Sanchez under pressure. He's a rookie and we know if we can hit him, it will disrupt his timing with his WR's. Need to keep the coverage disguised to make it hard for him to make decisions."
