Eli Manning Drama Continuous?

ESPN and NFL Network report from a live news conference.

"Eli, what do you have to say about being should I say "Owned" by the New Orleans Defense?"

"We did not get owned, first of all. It was a total fluke."

"Eli Eli!.... What do you have to say about Darren Sharper's 2 Interceptions?"

"My WR's ran bad routes and we were on diffirent pages"
"Isn't that why an Interceptions always happens? Do you think it was more of, Darren Sharper playing great?"
"No. Next Questin.."

"Eli, what did you tell you're team after the game?"
"I told the team that we got out played, we need to step up and make plays in big games."

"Eli. What do you have to say about Darren Sharper calling you out on being on the ground on Sunday, before the game.."
"Like I said, I'll say it again, It was a fluke. Next Questin"

"Could this behavior trigger a conference with the owners and coaches?"
"......"

Turn For The Worst?

The Carolina Panthers' season has been everything they haven't wanted. Starting the season (0-5) being blown out by 20+ points in 4 of the last 5 games. They have a rough schedule ahead of themselves. Can they make a Tennessee Titans turn around? Or fall into a Detriot Lions' season?

Turn For The Best?

The Chargers have a great season so far, sitting on top of of the NFL. Right now this is no doubt the team to beat in the AFC, and in the NFL. The Chargers' next opponent is the (2-4) Chiefs, a Divisional Game. The next realistic opponent to have a chance to beat the Chargers right now would be the (3-3) New York Giants. But, thats not until Week 9..

Saints Do it Again!

(3-3) Saints - 0|10|3|14 - 27
(3-3) Dolphins -0|7|14|3| - 24

Recap

Today's game went down to the wire. The Dolphins held the New Orleans' explosive offense in check for 3 and 1/2 Quarters. Brees was sacked 5 times in the 1st half, 3 times by Jeoy Porter. The second quarter was the same for the Saints' offense. The Dolphins' Defense just would not let up. The Saints tryed all their money plays and nothing would work. The Saints had entered the half with the least amount of points scored in the 1st half all season. But, went in with the least amount of points allowed. The defense definally steped up in this game, especially in the 1st half to keep the Saints in the game. When the game entered the 4th quarter, everything went from boring and slow, to the game on the line. The Saints' dominance continued threw the 4th quarter, stop the Dolphins on 3rd and Goal. If the defense were to let up and give them the touchdown, the score would of been 28-19 with 2:00 min left. The Saints would of went on too lose the game. Saints drove right down the field being down 24-19 and on 4th and Goal they steped up for the big play by Drew Brees throwing a Touchdown down pass to Randy Moss with just 0:08 seconds remaining. The Saints are starting too look like themselves again. Can the Saints keep this winning streak alive? Or could the even fall apart again? This is what Sean Payton had to say after the game -

"Even though our offense was abit slow for the first 3 quarters, the defense steped up when we really needed them too to keep us in the game. My credit goes out to the Dolphins' Defensive Cordinator for being able to keep our explosive offense in check for nearly the whole game."

Turn For the Worst?

The (1-5) Carolina Panthers ended their losing streak last Sunday in Buffalo picking up their first win. It wasn't easy, believe it or not, it is still snowing in New York, and they are planned to get another foot of snow be the end of the week.
