Re: Houston Texans Franchise

BTW I thought that I was going to lose that game for sure. If they made that 41 yard FG it would have been over. Couldn't believe they missed it.

Re: Houston Texans Franchise

Week 15: Broncos(10-3) at Texans(11-2)
Texans Beat Broncos; WR Johnson On Record Pace

Houston, TX--AP:The Texans took the field knowing this was going to be a tough game. The Broncos have been a great team, but the Texans felt that they matched up pretty well with them. They went out and looked pretty much in control after the 1st half leading 17-7. The second half was pretty much the same. The game was never really in danger even though it was not a big win in terms of the score. The Texans left with a 24-17 victory.

Andre Johnson is realistically challenging Jerry Rice's single season record for most yards in a season. Johnson now has 1,637 yards and needs just 211 more to break the record. That means Johnson would need an average of 106 yards per game to break the record and how he is playing makes that seem very realistic. In this game her burned one of the games best for 8 catches and 122 yards.

Re: Houston Texans Franchise

Week 16: Colts(9-5) at Texans(12-2)
Texans Win and Johnson Gets Record

Houston, TX--AP:The Texans took the against an opponent that they know they can beat, but they almost never do. This year is different though because they have a new coach who knows what he's doing. They came out and put up points quick and were leading 24-7 at halftime. They knew it wasn't over by a long shot though because the Colts have Peyton Manning.

Today, Manning wasn't the problem. The problem was the Texans receivers and offensive line. In the second half Moore was getting hit on every play and then when he didn't the wide receivers would drop the ball. It was a hard thing to watch him fight all game just to get let down, but he did it. The Texans ended up holding on for the win 30-24.

Also, Johnson got the record in receiving yards and J. Jones dislocated his shoulder.

Re: Houston Texans Franchise

Johnson's Wants 2,000

Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson said that he not only wants 2,000 yards, but he guarantees it. Johnson said, "I want this so bad and I'm so close. I might never get a chance to do this again. I guarantee I will go out there and get the yards I need to pass the 2,000 mark."

Divisional Game: Steelers(12-5) at Texans(14-2)
Texans Win Playoff Debut With Last Second FG

Houston, TX--AP:The Steelers were coming in to Houston for the Texans first playoff game in franchise history. They knew it would be tough and boy were they right. Reliant Stadium was rocking as the crowd was more excited than they had ever been. They were even more excited when the Texans stopped the Steelers on their first possession and then went on to score and take the lead at 7-0. But, the Steelers came firing back with 17 unanswered points to take a 17-7 lead. The Texans were able to get in a last second FG and bring the game back to 17-10 just before half time.

In the second half the Texans were able to tie it up in the third quarter and then take the lead with a big TD pass form Moore to Johnson in the 4th quarter. The Steelers scored with 1:55 left to tie it up.

This was it. Moore had every quarterback's dream right in front of him. Take your team down the field and win the game. He came out with extreme confidence and slung it all over the place and was able to set up D. Buehler for a 43 yard game winner. This was for the franchises first playoff win. Snap... Hold... Its good! The place exploded as the Texans were able to get the win.
