Conference Championship: Patriots(12-5) at Texans(15-2)
Texans Defense Holds to Send Texans To the Super Bowl

Houston, TX--AP:This game was a very important one for both these teams, but for the Texans it was different. This was a chance to make it to the teams first super bowl every by beating one of the teams that had been a dynasty just a few years earlier. The Texans came out and played like winners the entire game. They had a 6 point lead at halftime and did not slow down at all during the whole game. They ended up giving the ball back to the Patriots with 2:00 left and they were able to drive down for a FG chance, but Gostkowski's kick hit the upright and bounced out. This all but secured the win and sent the Texans to their first super bowl.

Super Bowl: Preview

This years super bowl will be between one of the NFL's oldest teams and its newest. The Green Bay Packers(13-3) will be taking on the Houston Texans(14-2) In what will be the first super bowl for the Texans.

Offenses:

Texans: 7th overall, 5th passing, 28th rushing, and 1st PPG.

Packers: 14th overall, 10th passing, 9th rushing, and 2nd PPG.

Defenses:

Texans: 30th overall, 32nd passing, 1st rushing, 11th takeaways 19th PPG.
Packers: 5th overall, 5th passing, 16th rushing, 3rd takeaways, 4th PPG.

By looking at these stats it would seem that the Packers should have the advantage. But, this is just on paper.

Key Players:

Texans:

1. Andre Johnson- Johnson has torn up almost every team he has played against and don't expect that to stop now. There is not a better receiver in the NFL and there is nobody out there that wants to win more. Expect a big performance from him if the Texans expect to win.

2. Antonio Cromartie- Cromartie has evolved into a shutdown corner this season. He has been a playmaker and has stopped WR's from getting many catches. He should be able to lock down the Packers #1 guy.

3. Matt Moore- Moore came on to this team late in the year, but he has really had a great showing. He has even shown poise when it matters. If the Texans are to win this game, Moore will need to continue playing at the level he has been playing.

Packers:

1. Aaron Rodgers- Rodgers has become one of the NFL's top quarterbacks and can really shred any defense. He should have a great game as the Texans are the worst passing defense in the NFL. Expect him to target his tight end because thats where the Texans have their biggest problems.

2. Charles Woodson- Woodson is the leader of this defense and is one of the best playmakers in the NFL. If you make any mistakes, he will capitalize on it. He will have a real challenge in facing Andre Johnson though. That will be a great matchup to watch.

3. R. Grant- Grant was great this year and will need to be patient going against by far the NFL's best run defense. They are stingy and don't give up many runs. They will give you a big one every now and then because they are so aggressive. If Grant can stay patient he can be successful against any team.

Keep Your Eye On:

Texans: Drops. It seems every game this team has many crucial drops. One game they had 9 drops and they average about 5 per game.

Packers: Ryan Grant. He has had some problems holding on to the football this year. He fumbled 6 times during the regular season and he has fumbled 3 times in 2 post season games.

Prediction:

Looking at the matchup, we predict that the Packers will win this game 42-38.

Super Bowl: Packers(13-3) at Texans(14-2)
Texans Set Many Records In Destruction of Packers

Houston, TX--AP:The Super Bowl is supposed to be played between the two best teams in the NFL. This seemed like a great matchup, but then the game started. Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Grant both left the game with injuries in the first quarter and would not return. This was a huge blow to the Packers and even backup Matt Flynn was injured. The Packers offensive line could not handle the Texans d-line and they gave up 10 sacks.

This game started of picture perfect for the Texans. On the first play of the game Moore dropped back to pass after a play-action fake and threw a bomb to Andre Johnson for the 68 yard TD on the first play from scrimmage. This would be a sign of things to come. The Texans kept piling it on. Moore went on to throw 5 TD passes, Andre Johnson had 4 receiving TD's, and Ladanian Tomlinson had 3 rushing TD's. On the defensive side Mario Williams put on the most amazing performance ever by a defensive end by registering 9 sacks in one game. The Texans got the easy win 59-14.

Re: Houston Texans Franchise

I've made this team into a super team... I might need to switch teams again. This time I am gonna pick one of the bottom teams.

Rams
Bucs
Lions
Browns
Chiefs

Prolly Rams

Re: Houston Texans Franchise

Rams are a tough team to use. I had started one with them and just couldn't win a game. I had a lead going into the 4th and lost it.

But congrats on the SB win. Hope it takes longer for the Rams to make it than the Texans.
