Re: Restoring the Greatest Show: A St. Louis Rams Franchise
NFL Draft Round 1: K. Okuyemi, LT(Minnesota) This is a big tackle at 6'8" 315 lbs. He is a great pass blocker and will lock up the QB's back side for years to come. Round 2: J. Baston, WR(Tennessee) This wide out has good hands and may even be a day one starter. Round 2 Pick 2: K. Childers, TE(Texas A&M) Good pass catching tight end. Will immediately make this passing game better. Round 3: J. Lewis, RE(N.C. State) This is a good pass rushing DE that is very raw, but could be a good player one day. Round 4: A. Augustine, ROLB(Miami) This player would have gone higher, but he has off the field issues. He is as talented as any linebacker in this draft and obviously the front office believes they can straighten him out. Round 4 Pick 2: E. Mourning This may be a hit or miss pick. This is one of those players that is either going to be a starter or a bust. Only time will tell. Was a great pass rusher in college, but lacked ideal fundamentals. Round 5: J. Berry, QB (Florida) Like Augustine, this kid has had his share of problems. But, Turner knows how to work with QB's and he really believes that this kid could be the next great thing in the NFL. Only problem is his delivery is a little awkward. But, he will provide speed and a better arm than any QB on the roster. Round 6: T. Duhon, WR (Florida) Played with Berry at Florida and Whisenhunt loved what he sees in this guy. This could be a great passing combo if it pans out. Round 7: C. McCormick, LT (Cornell) This pick is just for depth. |

Re: Restoring the Greatest Show: A St. Louis Rams Franchise
Pre-Season In Review The Pre-season is over and the Rams did much better than last year. They finished 3-1 with wins over the panthers, 49ers and buccaneers. They lost the final game to the Ravens 30-24. Offense Quarterback The Rams quarterback situation seems to be going pretty well. Berry's work ethic and competitiveness makes him the day one starter. He performed well in the preseason getting a 59% completion rate with 501 yards 3 TD's and 1 INT. Anderson will be a solid backup and won games last year. Grade: B Running Back After a hard year running the football, the Rams have decided to go younger. They signed free agent J. Charles during the offseason. Charles is a really speedy back that can take any run the distance. McGahee will be a great 3rd down back and has one of the best stiff arms in the league. Grade: A- Receivers/Tight Ends This group had a surprise last year with Amendola bursting out for over 1,000 yards. This year he has been in the dog house though and has fallen out of favor with this new staff. He will now be the #4 receiver. This group looks like they can be great last year, but we have to remember that they did lead the league in drops last year lead by Amendola, who dropped 34 passes last year. Grade: C Offensive Line This group looks like it can be a really great one this year. The one question is at RG. It remains to be seen if Davis can step up and be the guy there. Grade: B+ Offensive Grade: B- Defense Defensive Line This line had a much better year last year and had a great year stopping the run. Long had 5 sacks and they all looked much better than expected. Rookie RE Mourning has really shown up in camp and will take the starting job from Hall. Look for another good year from this line. Grade: B Linebackers This group is led by Laurinaitis. He is a great linebacker and leader. Augustine looks like he will fill the void at LOLB and Chamberlain has been solid at ROLB. This group should be solid. Grade: B- Secondary This group looks like they could have a great year. Bartell had a great year with 4 INT's and 7 sacks last year. Fayton showed he was a force and Atogwe was Atogwe. Bowmen should be able to step in to the #2 spot and make plays. Grade: A- Special Teams Kicker J. Brown is a great kicker with a strong leg. He had a perfect year last year and you can expect more good out of him. Grade: A+ Punter D. Jones is a good punter. He lead the league in punting AVG last year. Grade: A+ Overall Team Grade This is a young team, but looks like it could be good. Expect an improvement from next year. Playoffs may even be a possibility. We'll see. Grade: B- |

Re: Restoring the Greatest Show: A St. Louis Rams Franchise
Week 1:Seahawks at Rams St. Louis, MO--AP:The Rams are a very young team, but they sure are full of talent. Many rookies showed that they have the talent to be great. The day started off with both teams scoring on their first drives. Then the Seahawks took a lead into halftime 14-13. But, the Rams would get it back on the halftime kickoff with a return by Avery. The rest of the game would be a shootout. The Seahawks got the ball back with 1:55 left and down by three. But, the Rams forced a fumble and were able to take a knee to end the game with the win 31-28.Rams Open Up Season With Win Code:

Re: Restoring the Greatest Show: A St. Louis Rams Franchise
Week 2:Bengals(1-0) at Rams(1-0) St. Louis, MO--AP:The Rams youth was exposed today. They took a big lead and appeared to have the game locked up, but they collapsed late and were unable to hold on. They had a chance to get into FG range late in the game, but 4 bad throws in a row by rookie QB J. Berry ended the game. The Rams secondary was inconsistent all game and that was sort of the theme for the whole defense. The Rams will have to rebound after their BYE week if they want to be contenders.Rams Collapse In Frustrating Loss Code:

Re: Restoring the Greatest Show: A St. Louis Rams Franchise
Week 4:Rams(1-1) at Ravens(2-1) St. Louis, MO--AP:Everyone knows that the Rams are a scary matchup for any rookie quarterback. This was not exactly true for J. Berry. He did look shaky and threw 3 INT's, but he rallied back and was able to finish with 4 TD's. This game looked similar to the last one, but the difference was the Rams ability to finish. They kept their foot on the gas and never let up. This led to a huge win, 48-16.Rams Blowout Heavily Favored Ravens On a side not, S. Jackson did not fare well playing against his former team for the first time and just could never get going. Code:

Re: Restoring the Greatest Show: A St. Louis Rams Franchise
mcghee gets his revenge!lmao! y trade s, jackson? the fact that all of this happened in one year(trade star player, change city, change coach) maks it kinda unrealistic but it's still great. keep the name rams! use the rhino logo bcuz the announcer can say it and the endzone in the super bowl will have the rams as its endzone design
