So much for the rebuilding mode everyone has been talking about for the
Arizona Cardinals.
After a solid preseason and winning both of their regular season games this season, morale is high in the desert.
“
Matt [Leinart] has really done a great job so far this season,” said star wide receiver
Larry Fitzgerald “he has lead this offense. I don’t even see how people question him as a franchise quarterback.”
Strong words coming from Fitz.
Leinart needs a great year this year to stay on the Cardinals roster, and at this point it does not look like it will be a problem to keep him in Arizona. Leinart has nine touchdown passes this season to just one interception. He has the best passer rating in the league. But more importantly, he is winning.
Leinart isn't the only Cardinal speedily improving. Rookie
Carlos Bell had a huge game on Sunday against the
Seattle Seahawks, grabbing three touchdown catches. Rookie guard
Tobi Crisp has made an immediate impact on the offensive line and is giving Leinart time to throw.
