Utah State Aggies Vs UTEP

Vs

Utah State Aggies (3-4)(2-2) Vs UTEP Miners (3-4)(1-2)

Miners Wear Out Aggies

The Aggies were coming off a strong performance, but they falter and fall back into their losing ways. Aggies just got outplayed and out grinned on the defense of side.

UTEP had the ball for over 16 minutes. The Miners just wore out the Aggies on defense, keeping them on the field for almost 3 quarters of the game, while the offense sat there waiting to for their chance.

"Its hard to beat a team, when they have the ball 2 times longer then you. Even if that team is bad, its still hard."

UTEP rushed the ball 35 times for 54 yards but was amazing at converting 3rd downs. UTEP was 13-17 on 3rd downs which is why they wore out The Aggies and also the reason UTEP came away with the victory.

Dylan Palmer's 2 of 3 TD Passes

UTEP's star quarterback was by far the player of the game. Dylan Palmer completed 26-32 passes for 318 yards and 3 touchdown pass, all of them coming in the 2nd and 3rd quarter when UTEP pulled away.

The Aggies now fall to 3-5 (2-3) on the season and it doesnt look good for them next week with #5 Texas Longhorns coming to town.

Texas Vs Utah State Aggies

Vs

#5 Texas Longhorns (7-1)(4-1) Vs Utah State Aggies (3-5)(2-3)

Texas Fights Off Aggies

Aggies keep it close in the first half but Colt McCoy and the Longhorns pull away in the 2nd half, outscoring The Aggies 24-10.

The Aggies did their best to make it a game but in the 2nd half The Aggies turned the ball over to the 4 times. That proved to be to much to overcome against a great Longhorns team.

Colt puts himself back in the Heisman race

The Longhorns were led by star quarterback Colt McCoy who threw for over 300 yards and added 4 touchdowns with no turnovers.

The Longhorns defense held The Aggies rushing attack in check, they held the Aggies to -9 yards rushing on 12 rushes. The defense also forced Etain Tur Mukan to turn the ball over 3 times in the 4th quarter.

Player of the game had to be John Crenshaw, the defensive end for Texas. John had a career day with 4 sacks, interception, 3 forced fumbles and a defense of touchdown.

The Aggies quarterback Etain Tur Mukan played well if you take away the 4th quarter. In the first 3 quarter Tur Mukan had 297 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions but it was all down hill in the 4th quarter.

Utah State falls to 3-6 on the season.

Note: Jarod White out for 2 weeks with a broken rib.
Jordan Shipley did not play.

Utah State Aggies Vs Memphis

Vs

Utah State Aggies (3-6)(2-3) Vs Memphis Tigers (5-4)(2-3)

Utah State Pulls Off The Upset

Utah State leads for 3 quarter then the defense falls apart giving up 14 points in the 4th quarter. This time the offense bails out The Aggies with a 8 play 78 yard drive ending in a 40 yard fieldgoal as time runs out.

Casey Taylor scoring his 2nd touchdown in the 4th quarter

The Aggies lead 23-10 after 3 quarters but couldnt stop or slow down the Memphis Tigers passing game in the 4th. Memphis threw for over 150 yards in the 4th quarter.

Casey Taylor scored both of his 2 touchdowns in the 4th, one on the ground and one receiving, but that wasnt enough. Memphis's defense fails so stop Utah State when it matter the most.

Utah State improves to 4-6 (3-3) and will play ECU 6-4 (3-3) next week. Utah State is still in the hunt for a bowl bid and a 500 record.

Etain Tur Mukan is now 254 yards away from breaking the school single season passing yards record.
