Week 6 Cleveland @ Bristol Bay

Browns Lose Control Of The Game

The Cleveland Browns looked like they would heading home with their first win of the season but lost control of the game. The Browns were in the drivers seat at the half way point of the 3rd quarter. The Browns had a 20-10 lead and the ball, but thats when The Browns hit the wall. The Browns were force to punt from their own endzone, giving Jay Randolph and The Vipers a short field to work with. With the short field The Vipers had to do little, one complete pass put them in field goal range, making it a 20-13 game.

The Vipers put up 14 unanswered points in the 4th quarter, first was a 15 yards slant pass to Edwards to tie the game up at 20. Less than 2 minutes later The Vipers had the ball again and was looking to land a knock out shot, but suffered a knock out shot of their own. Halfback J.T McKenzie was knocked out of the game and will miss the next 4 weeks with a dislocated elbow, a big blow to an already weak back field. The Vipers did however land the knock shot minutes later, when back up HB Tyrone Smith ran it in from 1 yard out putting The Vipers up 27-20. The Browns went 3 and out and that was the last time they would see the ball.

During the 4th quarter The Browns ran only 6 offensive plays and had the ball for less than 2 minutes, witch was their undoing. CANT WIN WITHOUT THE BALL.

Week 7 Miami @ Bristol Bay

Dolphins Skim Pass Vipers

The Bristol Bay Vipers had a chance late in the game but Otis Johnson of the Dolphins crushed their hopes. The Vipers were facing a 4th and 7 at the 50 yard line, when Rookie End Otis Johnson came from Randolphs blind side and hit him as he was throwing to an open Lionel Curtis at the first down markers, causing the ball to fly over Curtis head and ending The Vipers hopes.

The Vipers players watched hopelessly as The Dolphins ran out the clock to win 20-16. The Dolphins are riding a wave of confidence, they beat New England last week (handing them their 1st loss) and now they beat The Vipers to improve to 4-3. Meanwhile The Vipers fall to 3-3 and will travel to Carolina to face the 3-3 Panthers, who just got killed by Atlanta 41-20.

Ronnie Brown won the player of the game with 101 yards rushing and another 102 yards receiving,he also had a rushing touchdown.

Week 8 Bristol Bay @ Carolina

Carolina Takes It To The Vipers

Carolina hands The Vipers its 2nd straight loss, 27-13. Carolina Panthers defense completely shutdown The Vipers offense, holding them to only 166 total yards. Carolina's offense also helped out by keeping The Vipers offense on the bench, Carolina had the ball for over 31 minutes. Jake Delhomme tossed 3 touchdown passes even tho his favorite target Steve Smith was out due to injury (dislocated ankle).

Julius Peppers harassed Jay Randolph all game long, sacking him 2 times and hurried him 4 other times. Carolina's 2 head back field didnt put up great numbers but they grinned the clock and moved the chains. Williams and Stewart combined for 105 yards rushing on 31 attempts.

For The Vipers the story was dropped passes, 8 in all but 3 of them would have been touchdown and 3 more would have gone for firstdowns. The Vipers fall to 3-4 and will travel to New Orleans next week, a must win.
