The fact that you just beat ****tsburgh (excuse my french), have a record of 5-5, and have a easy-ish upcoming schedule... I'm liking your chances of 8 Wins.
The Atlanta Falcons completely dominated the first half, Michael Turner rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown during the first half. Going into half time The Falcons had a 10-3 lead, it looked like they would win easily. The Vipers couldnt stop their running game and with 19 mph winds batteing both teams passing games, the lead looked impossible to overcome.
On The Falcons first drive of the 2nd half, their star running back Michael Turner was knocked out of the game with a dislocated ankle and would not return. It was the break The Vipers were looking for, The Falcons were unable to get any running game going without Turner; they would turn to Matt Ryan, but he was unable to get into any type of rhythm.
The Vipers finally got their wheels turning when Jay Randolph hit J.T. McKenzie who was matched up with a much slower linebacker. McKenzie took the pass 59 yards for a touchdown, tieing the game. Just minutes later Randolph hit Lamont Pamler on a slant pass that went 22 yards for a touchdown, giving The Vipers a 17-10 lead that they wouldnt let slip away.
NFL Scoreboard - Atlanta Falcons (5-5) at Bristol Bay Vipers (5-5)
On a snowy day at Bristol Bay Memorial Stadium, The Bristol Bay Vipers some how hold off The Ravens to come out victorious, 21-20. The Ravens took the lead in the 4th quarter with a 9 yard Willie McGahee run, 17-14. On The Vipers next drive running back J.T. McKenzie made a costly mistake, fumbling the football on The Vipers own 24 yard line, giving the Ravens a great chance to put this game away or at least put some more points on the board. After 2 failed rushing attempts by The Ravens, they went to the air. Joe Flacco saw an open Derrick Mason who was about to make his cut when his feet slipped out from under him, with Mason on the ground Patrick Hunter had a free path to the ball. Hunter picked it and took it to the house, 21-17 Vipers.
It would come down to The Ravens decision to kick a field goal instead of going for it on a 4th and 3 on the Vipers 15 yard line with just over 2 minutes left. The Ravens would make it a 1 point game, putting all its faith in Ray Lewis and Company but they couldnt keep The Vipers from getting 2 first downs to seal the game.
