What looked to be a promising season for The New York Jets started off horrible. Mark Sanchez suffered a broken collarbone on the 4th play of the game and will miss the next 7 weeks (Ouch). With Sanchez out of the picture, The Jets turned to 7th round draft pick Carl Fenner out of Nebraska. Fenner played like any other 7th round rookie quarterback, HORRIBLE. Fenner finished the game completing only 8 of his 26 passes for 99 yards, as The Jets lose 34-16.
The combination of Jay Randolph and Travontae Edwards looked even better than they did last season, this could be scary. Jay Randolph finished the game with a 148.6 QB Rating, completing 19 of 26 passes for 291 yards and 3 touchdowns. Travontae Edwards made Darrelle Revis look like a rookie, Edwards pulled in 5 catches for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns, both touchdowns come when Edwards was matched up with Revis. The Vipers couldnt ask for a better way to start the season.
Side Note: Aaron Wheeler (hockeyaplaya2724) had 1 Tackle and 2 Pass Defl.
