The Bristol Bay Vipers finally get their first ever win, after losing 3 regular season games and all 4 preseason games. The Vipers knocked around the Browns all game but could never put them away.
The Vipers out gainned The Browns by over 200 yards and double them in time of possesion. They also converted 12 of 15 3rd downs opportunities.
The Vipers ran the west coast offense to prefection, even Bill Walsh would have been impressed. Vipers quarterback Jay Randolph completed 20 of 29 passes for over 300 yards and no turnovers for the second straight game. The way they ran the short passing game opened up their running game for the first time this year, and boy did it pay off.
The Vipers had more rushing yards then the Browns had passing yards.
Hopefully the Vipers can keep on rolling as they head to Baltimore next week.
NFL Scoreboard | Bristol Bay Vipers (0-3) at Cleveland Browns (1-2)
The Ravens just dismantled the Vipers in every area of the game, even tho The Vipers out gained them.
The Ravens won even without their top 2 quarterbacks, Joe Flacco and Troy Smith were both out due to injurys, so in their place started the traveling show that is Jeff Garcia.
Tell you the truth I feel bad for Jay Randolph, he was hit after every play, and was even knocked out for the game for 2 series. The Ravens defense was coming after the quarterback untill the last play of the game. Jay Randolph was hurried 16 times, hit 8 times and sacked another 4 times, Randolph wont last long in this league if this continues to happen week in and week out. They most address the OLine before the trade deadline next week.
The Ravens defense also forced 5 turnovers including 4 interception, which 2 of them were returned for touchdowns. In the end the Ravens defense won this game and even outscored the The Vipers.

Bristol Bay Vipers Get: Ray Edwards(LE)(75), 2nd Round Pick, 4th Round Pick
Get: Rocco Lattimore (QB)(74), Albert Grant (LG)(74)
This was a very good trade for both team, The Vikings get a quarterback to either back-up Tarvaris Jackson or take over the starting job, and also they get a LG to replace the injuryed Steve Hutchinson. For The Vipers they get a much needed pass rusher, The Vipers have 1 sack in their first 5 games. They also pick up 2 draft picks, which will help them fill all the holes they have. The only question to ask here is will Ray Edwards stay with the team after the season because he is set to become a free-agent next season?
