Week 14 Bristol Bay @ Pittsburgh

Willie Parker Leaves The Vipers In The Dust

It started out good for The Vipers, Aaron Wheeler intercepted Ben Roethlisberger on his first passing attempt, but The Vipers couldnt do anything with it. On Pittsburghs next drive Patrick Hunter forced a fumble and Rookie DE Martin Curry returned it 51 yards for a touchdown, putting The Vipers up 7-0. But after that it was all down hill for The Vipers. Willie Parker took over rushing for 3 touchdowns and 249 yards in the first half. Roethlisberger only attempted 6 passes in the first half. The dragger came with just seconds left in the 1st half, The Vipers were in position to score but Christian Burns forced a bad pass and Ryan Clark intercepted it and took it 97 yards to give The Steelers a 28-10 led at half.

Willie Parker finished the game with a record 354 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns, as The Steelers win 35-17. The Vipers and The Steelers went a combined 3-22 on 3rd downs. Ben Roethlisberger completed 6 of his 17 passes for 70 yards. The Vipers now fall 2 games back of The Steelers, and will face The Tennessee Titans who improve to 7-6 after beating The Cleveland Browns 24-19.

Week 15 Bristol Bay @ Tennessee

Vipers Lose 3 In A Row

Bristol Bay Vipers chances to make the playoffs take another hit, as they fall to The Tennessee Titans 30-21. The Titans now hold the 6th and last playoff spot, The Vipers fall to 7th place. The Vipers defense for the second straight week just couldnt stop anything. The Titans rushed for 149 yards. Chris Simms who is filling in for both Vince Young and Kerry Collins (both on IR), had himself a career day. Simms completed 22 of 32 passes for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns, he amassed a quarterback rating of 110.3.

The Vipers will face The Houston Texans who beat The Buccaneers 14-13. The Texans are also still in the hurt for a playoff berth (7-7). J.T. McKenzie will be returning to the line up for The Vipers, after missing 3 weeks with broken ribs, it just might be the jump start The Vipers need to get back on track.

Week 16 Houston @ Bristol Bay

Vipers Out Play Texans

Bristol Bay Vipers got back on track as they beat The Houston Texans 27-17. The Vipers win even though they turned the ball over 2 times (one was returned for a TD) and didnt force any turnovers. The Vipers defense did do a couple of things right, they got pressure on the quarterback (3 Sacks) and shutdown Andre Johnson (1 Rec, 1 Yard). The Vipers offense was led by J.T. McKenzie who did a little bit of everything. This was McKenzies first game back after missing 3 games with broken ribs and he played very well. McKenzie rushed for 94 yards with a touchdown, he also added 76 yards receiving and a touchdown.

The Vipers are now in a 3 way battle for the last 2 playoff spots with San Diego (9-6) and Tennessee (9-6). The Vipers will play their bitter rivals The Cleveland Browns to finish their season.
