Hawks Offense Finally Clicks, Late Game Heroics Lead To Victory Over Browns!
Today was a statement game for this Hawk's offense. They were facing there toughest competition yet and people were doubting their 31st ranked offense because of the controversy surrounding the Hawks locker room since last week. For those that don't know, T.J. Houshmandzadeh complained earlier this week that Matt Hasslebeck was throwing him the ball enough. Hasslebeck and Houshmandzadeh both got on the same page and had big days. But the real star was Deon Butler. Butler had 3 catches for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns!
The Hawks once again had a comfortable lead going into the 2nd half only to just barely hang on at the end. The Hawks entered the 2nd half leading 21-0 and came out just barely winning. The Browns had cut the lead down to 31-24 and they had the ball at around the 50 yard line when Bryant Simpson hoped in front of a Tristan Riley pass. He intercepted the pass and took it back 52 yards for a game sealing touchdown. "It felt great to come through for my team like that in a big situation." Simpson said, "We really held strong right at the end and I couldn't have done what I did without the other 10 guys on the field backing me up." Fortunately, the Hawks sustained no injuries this game. They travel for the first time this year to San Francisco to take on the 49ers in a big divisional match-up.

Hawks Face Their Biggest Challenge of the Season in San Francisco This Weekend
The Hawks are flying high after winning two games in a row, but let's face it, back to back wins against the Lions and Browns aren't that impressive. Oklahoma City needs to worry about this weekend divisional showdown against San Francisco. The San Francisco 49ers (4-0) will take on the Oklahoma City Hawks (2-1) in Candlestick Park this Sunday which is easily the biggest game of the year so far for both teams. If the 49ers win, they take a commanding lead in the NFC West, and if the Hawks win, they come dangerously close to the 49ers in the division and playoff standings.
Some say that's it's far to early to begin thinking about playoffs, but when you have two contenders in the same division, it's hard to not think about which team is going to edge the other one out. The 49ers are an experienced team, they took a trip to the Super Bowl last year and they're the team to beat in the NFC. The Hawks are a young team adjusting to their new Oklahoma setting, you can't beat there resiliency and will to win, but will there youth end up being the limiting factor later on? I don't know, but this weekends 49ers vs. Hawks match-up is shaping up to be one of the best games in the NFL this year!

If your following please comment on this.. I know I sound like I'm begging but come on. I'm already in Week 5 of the season and I've been posting like crazy and you guys aren't even responding or commenting on anything. I want to continue this but at this rate, I might as well stop wasting my time.

Oklahoma City Benches Julius Jones in Hopes to Jump-Start Offense.
Head Coach Jim Mora Jr. announced today that Justin Forsett would be starting in place of Julius Jones today. "It wasn't a personal decision, we just felt that if this team was to make a run into the playoffs, we would be better off with Justin Forsett in the backfield. Right now, our offense is more suited towards a speed style which Justin Forsett and even Myron Wilson fit into."
The Hawks are ranked 32nd in rusing and there offense is ranked 31st overall.
