Re: Go Blue: Taking Michigan Back to Glory (NCAA Football 11)

Game Notes | Michigan came out to win this ball game, and they did, hands down! 38-7, and half of the game without their star quarterback! That's right, in the third quarter, Tate Forcier went down with a shoulder injury, but Michigan fans, don't worry, he'll be fine for The Game next weekend against the Buckeyes. After Tate went down, you could hear a pin drop in Michigan Stadium, but with the large group of very fast athletes on Michigan's team, they had no problem plugging them in and out for different option plays, and handoffs to Vincent Smith. The biggest aspect of Michigan's victory however, was their defense. Forcing four interceptions, two of which were taken back for a touchdown (by Obi Ezeh, and Ryan Van Bergen). A couple of times Wisconsin was actually threatening to make it a game, and bring the score closer together, when they'd be picked off near the endzone. I've said this about many games before, but this game was definitely closer than the score shows. Until about the fourth quarter, when it all seemed to fall apart for the Badgers. Next week obviously, Michigan plays the biggest rival of them all in the Ohio State Buckeyes, and it's in Columbus. I think most people thought the Buckeyes would be a shoe-in, but the way the Wolverines have been playing lately, I think that it will be one hell of a game! And since Michigan defeated the #3 Badgers, it'll be interesting to see where they rank when they take on the Buckeyes. Next week should be one interesting week! And of course it seems that the Big Ten Title will be on the line! |
