Hoping to crank a game or two out later tonight and get the updates up soon after. Recruiting is going to be a pain, looks like I am gonna be going after the 3* RB and the 2* guys hard core if I want them.

What most people will notice is I had to offer a lot of scholarships early because I flat don't have any pitches except playing time and location.

Exactly, recruiting is very tough this year. I can't even imagine it with a program like EMU. I'm looking forward to seeing some games, and seeing the start of rebuilding with some new recruits....Some more coverage of what Erin is doing would be swell too

This is the first game for new billionaire coach Getty51, who is hoping that he doesn't completely embarrass himself at the helm.

1st Quarter
The game started with EMU winning the toss and deferring to the second half. Army came out and did what was expected and ran the triple option. But a 3rd and 15 play action pass from Steelman led to a 45 yard touchdown score by Davyd Brooks who found the EMU secondary napping. Brandon Pratt took the kickoff to the 50, though EMU was forced to punt....Good news is the ball landed at the 3 yard line and was downed. EMU recoreded their first sack on a 3rd and 15 by FS Latarrius Thomas.

2nd Quarter
Nothing of note happened in the 4th quarter other than punting until under a minute left in the half EMU coach Getty51 called a fake punt run. Ben Axon got the first down but proceeded to fumble the ball inside the Black Knight 45. The Next play FS Latarrius Thomas came up big again with an interception inside the 40, could this lead to EMU scoring their first points of the season? It did, in the from of Dwayne Preist with a 17 yard score just before the half!

Q: Coach, what are you planning for the second half? How does it feel to be tied at halftime? Can you win this game?
A: Erin, we can and will win this game if we can stop that Ehie kid he is getting 5 yards a pop up the middle. Might I add your looking wonderful today. I really must be going.....
Erin: That Ehie kid coach was referring to is Kingsley Ehie a Senior FB who has 42 yards on 8 carries so far. Now to the halftime show...

3rd Quarter
In the 3rd with just under a minute left a pass from Gillett to Thomas became a hook and ladder as when Thomas was hit he pitched the ball to Corey Manns for a 25 yard completion and getting the ball inside the Black Knight red zone.

4th Quarter
Preist caps off the drive with an 11yd Touchdown run to start the quarter. The following drive Latarrius Thomas makes his second pick of the game! This time inside the Black Knight 30! That led to a 40 yard field goal by Baertchi to make it a 10 point Eagle Lead! On the ensuing kickoff PaoPao made a huge hit but tore his shoulder, he will miss the remainder of the season.......That drive was ended by yet another interception this time by Marrcel Rose at the EMU 40. Gillett sealed the game with a 12 yard TD pass to Kinsman Thomas in the back of the endzone. Army didn't die and comes back with an 80 yard TD pass from Steelman to Ehie (He broke 4 tackles on his way to the endzone.....) Army failed to recover the onside kick allowing Gillett to take a knee and end the game.

Coaches Thoughts after the game:
"Well I was right for the most part about Ehie, we stopped him in the second half aside from the 80 yard score there at the end. When we forced Army to play from behind with the triple option they struggled badly. We will see how good we really are in the coming weeks against more pro style offenses. It hurts to lose a guy like Paopao early in the season, he was going to be our special teams ace but now is gone. Bright spot of the game is of course, the player of the game Dwayne Preist who rushed for over 100 yards (most of it on the left side). Don't crown us yet......"

Ya, though I know they are players in a video game they kind of came alive at the hopes of getting their first win in over a year, it was pretty wild, all of a sudden everyone was stepping up user controlled or not they were starting to make plays.

Haha, I think that may be one of my best decisions so far, adding her to the Billionaire Bullpen as I would like to call it, hey who knows if I end up tying in a NBA and MLB dynasty to this she may have too much work on her hands and I will have to hire someone else to "help."
