M. Brooks(#53) recovers a fumble cause by M. Bullough and races down the sideline into Minnesota territory.

J. Fry(#35) forces T. Parrish's 2nd pick in the red zone. This was one of the four turnovers the MSU defense caused.

J. Boisture(#7) celebrates after he scores on a QB sneak, putting the final points on the board in this 30-0 rout of the Golden Gophers. Boisture played a fantastic game, completing 64% of his pass and throwing one touchdown. Even without his go to receiver, K. Mumphery, who went down for the rest of the season with a torn shoulder.

Nice pounding over my Gophers, you couldn't let them score just 1?

Haha, good luck, hope you can keep it up.

Battle for the Land Grant Trophy

Since Penn State joined the Big Ten Conference in 1993, the Nittany Lions and Spartans have played each other for the trophy in the last week of conference play. The trophy, designed by former Michigan State coach George Perls, features pictures of Penn State's Old Main and Michigan State's Beaumont Tower. Penn State won the most recent meeting 21-18 on November 16, 2013, at Spartan Stadium. Currently, the overall series is 15–15–1, though many of the games were played prior to Penn State joining the Big Ten and are thus not included in the trophy count.

Michigan State University and Penn State University are the nation's oldest land-grant universities, hence the name for the trophy. In 1955 on the 100th year anniversary of the founding of the land grant system, Michigan State and Penn State were commemorated on a U.S. postage stamp honoring the "First of the Land-Grant Colleges". These two universities were the first ever universities to be placed on a U.S. postage stamp.

They are also the most recent additions to the Big Ten. Fellow Big Ten members Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin are also land-grant schools.

After 2 impressive drives by Penn State, J. Langford(#23) lights a fire under the Spartans by returning a kick 93 yards.

A. Perkins(#88) catches a pass in the corner of the end zone late in the 3rd quarter, giving the Spartans a 24-17 lead. J. Boisture played surprisingly well after B. Prince and C. Godfrey went down in this game for the rest of the season.

Michigan State's defense played lights out in the 4th quarter not allowing Penn State's offense to go anywhere. Here R. Mosley(#92) records a sack on 3rd and 12 with 38 seconds left, pretty much sealing the deal.
